Solomon Inn Motel Wollongong

Got a King Double room and when I got into the room found it still slightly dirty and thought nothing of it. Shower had dirt and grime on the inside and later found out a mouse was living in the room. Called late night reception and their reply to me inquiring about a way to deal with it was What do you want us to do about it?" And proceeded to provide the same solution of 'get a stick and leave the door open and poke it out'. Would not recommend."

Motel is in a convenient location, wasent too far from where we needed to go, and was a good price. We are not fussy people, but room number 8 took a lot to be desired! It could have been more clean, smelt of smoke and dampness, and was extremely tired. Given the handy location and beautiful garden out the back, this motel has lots of potential to be a nice place to stay.

This hotel is fantastic! While some reviews have mentioned that the rooms are old, it's worth noting that the hotel is currently undergoing updates to modernize the accommodations. For an even better experience, I suggest upgrading to one of the newly updated rooms - they're truly fantastic. The staff is also incredibly friendly and accommodating, which makes for a welcoming and comfortable stay. Plus, the location is perfect if you're planning to spend one or two nights in the Gong.

i stayed here over new years. i was very unhappy with the service that was provided. my bed wasn’t made and no fresh towels as per my request but my friends rooms next door were attended to. i also noticed upon arrival there was a pair of dirty socks behind the lounge and the bin was not emptied and was full of old pizza.

I was a bit worried staying at this motel, having read the reviews, but was very happy with my stay.Positive experience started before checkin - my flight was delayed, which meant i wouldn't arrive before receptiin closed. Called the reception and they made arrangements for me to getvthe key after hours. Then, a combination of further flight delays and other circumstances meant that it was too difficult for me to arrive that night.Called the reception again and the lovely gentleman (i think the owner) changed my booking to start a day later, with no extra charge. Top marks for customer service.I think i was in one of the recently updated rooms, which was very comfortable and scrupulously clean. The motel is well located, with bus stop within 1 minute walk.Thank you for a pleasant stay.

The room was very outdated, smelt of smoke when we entered the room and the bed was as hard as laying on the floor. Otherwise it was clean as could be inside and did have air-conditioning. It's just really lacking love and attention and modern updates. Things like loads of cobwebs on entry outside the door, old feature cushion thrown on bed, signage to a different business name and those kinda of touches just makes the experience say a lot about how well it's kept. Value wise I expected a lot more considering we stayed the night before in Sydney and paid same amount of money on a nice hotel.

Fair Price. But still lack to provide daily usage tools like toothbrush, comb, toothpaste, showercap, etc. Overall not too bad compared to the price.

Extremely outdated room. Bathroom cramped ... Can't sit on the toilet as your knees hit the wall. the bed was only 1 foot off the ground very awkward and uncomfortable. Room had strong bleach odour. Paid $138.00 not worth it sorry.
