A LA GRECQUE
Booked 12.15pm lunch for two. Ordered three entrees, one main and two sides plus received complimentary bread. The entrees arrived and were excellent however within minutes (less than 10 mins) all dishes ordered had been delivered to the table. Whilst the food was good, we felt rushed to now consume everything as quickly as possible so that the remaining dishes wouldn’t go cold and this took away the joy of experiencing the food and the dining experience. We had paid and left the restaurant by 1pm (so all within 45 mins). We had driven one hour to get here and we were hoping for a nice relaxing lunch. It’s such a shame the timing of the food interrupted this otherwise it would have been fantastic. We overheard the next table mention a similar concern about all dishes arriving far too close/quickly. If you’re hoping for a nice, summer, leisurely lunch as we were, I’d suggest you specify when ordering what you would like first and request a delay on the mains and sides so that you may enjoy what we unfortunately did not.

Amazing all round! Owner was so personable and friendly, food tasted out of this world too. It is priced higher but our group all agreed it was well worth it

My wife and I have been here 1-2 times a year for 8 years. Consistently great food. Service is excellent. We’ve been in peak season and off-peak. Tonight we booked first sitting on New Year’s Day holiday. Middle of summer and the place was absolutely full. The service was very efficient despite being busy and the food high quality. There are always some staples and a few seasonal changes. Top marks.

Definitely a highlight on the last night of our stay in Fairhaven. A la Grecque has had a stunning facelift with marble and neutral wood finishes. The food is amazing and wine list is excellent. Staff are lovely. We had a lively meal during golden hour. Treat yourself. Highly recommended!

Friendly staff were able to accommodate us without a booking and the char grilled porterhouse and twice cooked potatoes were delicious and well presented.

Ambiance = 4 stars - looks nice but too loud (electronic music).Food = 3.5 - tasty, but definitely not worth the price. I’ve had better calamari for much less.Service = 2 - staff kept bringing our drinks to the table near us rather than ours and then disappearing with them. They couldn’t serve a decaf martini espresso because the bar was too busy. They forgot to add two drinks to the bill and didn’t thank us when we reminded them.Also, it was our 10 year anniversary, I added a note to the booking, but we didn’t get a single little perk, nor even congratulations.

Had a lovely lunch at A La Grecque on the weekend. Nicely located and extremely busy on a sunday - every table full but not at all cramped! very spacious and welcoming environment. service was very prompt and attentive despite the full capacity of the restaurant. overall, all the food was very pleasant, fresh farm to table style and not overwhelmingly large or salty/oily portions you may receive at some greek restaurants. bread to start was lovely, generously paired with olive oil. entrees were all very pleasant, may favourite being the kefa cheese paired wiht sweet fig. the mains were also very fresh and nourishing, the fish being of extremely good quality, and all vegetables prepared neatly and tasty! the crispy potatoes were 10/10. for dessert we finished with the most perfectly light and sweet poached figs, a beautiful finish. on the pricier side overall but reflected in the beautiful fresh food, top location and friendly service. A la Grecque is one to visit! thankyou

Food was absolutely delicious, but unfortunately the staff were super keen to get the table turned over for the next couple - even though we'd only been there an hour & devoured 3 courses in that time. As soon as we said no to coffee they brought the card machine to the table even though I still had half a glass of wine to drink.

Amazing Greek food and service. Food cooked to perfection. Grilled Greek cheese and octopus for starters. Shared the steak & potatoes as a main and chocolate mousse for dessert. All meals very tasty. A fantastic wines list. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Enjoyed sitting outside and watching the sunset. Highly recommend you try it.
