staying in a cabin the shape of a boat with nice swimming pool above us have your own private beach and you walk about 200mts and there is a bar and pub and a vw combee where they serve spirits i would give a 5 star but it isn't you look across the water and you see earlie beach

Stayed 3 nights in the boat bungalows at Freedom Shores in March 2022, and again in Aug 2022. The boat bungalows are very cute, clean, and staff are polite and helpful. Continental breakfast is good, especially as it's a bit far from everything else to go out for breakfast daily. Enjoyed drinking tea at sunrise on the deck/bow of the boat". Northerlies is very close by and meets lunch and dinner needs. Grounds and pool area are well maintained. Would stay again!"

Basic breakfast. The rooms were clean and beautifully presented. Balcony had a nice view of gardens. Having Northerlies restaurant so close was handy given proximity to Airlie Beach. Staff were friendly and helpful, but we did receive a towel that was tattered on one side, so that was disappointing

A great place to stay near Whitsundays/Airlie Beach. The location is a little bit off road but super calm and in a beautiful atmosphere. The idea of having the rooms inside these “boats” is definitely great. The rooms are comfortable. The staff is super helpful!

Freedom Shores is a delightful place and is a venue for special occasions, particularly weddings.It’s raining here at present but it doesn’t spoil the beauty of the place.Well worth a few nights to relax and enjoy the scenery.

This place would have been amazing if we had a different room!We were put in the 'leeward' suite as we chose the bigger room which was more expensive so assumed it would be better, HUGE mistake! The room had absolutely no privacy we were right beside the lobby with ajoining doors to both the lobby and the next room, we could hear absolutely everything happening in the lobby and in the room beside us making us so uncomfortable we felt like we had to whisper, I asked if we could possibly move to a quieter room but that was not an option as they were fully booked, I went back to the room and could hear the staff talking about me asking for a different room. Not relaxing or romantic in any sense. We left at 8am the next day.

I'm making this my annual stop. I was so impressed at all aspects. Denny was amazing, helpful and accommodating. The Finnish girl which I didn't get her name was not far behind. The rooms are clean and well replenished. When I saw the boats I straight away said we're booking this. The band at the Northerlys can get load however they respect the guests and wrap up at the best time. And they sound good to. I could write an essay about this place but I will let you decide for yourselves.

We loved our 3 night stay at Freedom Shores. Close to Northerlies Restaurant and Bar. Able to book meals and drinks to our room was a great feature.

The absolute best place ever!!! Had the most incredible stay! The staff were fabulous! So kind and accommodating. The views are insane and the boat house stays are so cute!Huge shout out to Dena working at reception and Adam the maintenance guy - our cab for our Reefsleep didn’t arrive as planned and Dena was so kind and reassuring, she organised for Adam (bloody legend) to drive us in his own car! Couldn’t be more thankful for this extra step above and beyond the call of duty. Also, huge shout out to Adam for making the place look so great, the entire venue looks like a postcard.THANK YOU for making my birthday and our trip the most incredible experience!- Emma and Luke
