Tora Dumplings
This is a Chinese street food restaurant, serving probably the best dumplings in Melbourne. The dumpling skins are thin and handmade (not like some other places you can taste the dumplings skins are commercially made and were bought from Asian Supermarkets). The pork dumplings and the chicken and pawn ones are the best. My two boys have been to many other Chinese dumplings restaurants but Tora is their favorite. Their pork Wonton soup is also very nice, as well as Spicy Chicken cold dish (with peanut). If you go there for dumplings you are in the right place as the name says it all “Tora DUMPLINGS”. If you go there for Vegan dish or fancy Chinese dishes, please go somewhere else. Chinese love meat, vegan dish is not their specialty. By the way, I am Chinese so I know their dumplings are really good.

All dumplings were good except vege dumplings (Xiao long bao stand out).Unfortunately the experience was soured when pouring water and finding it to be filthy with dirt and a dead fly in the jug. Plates were oily.Overall a chill place for dumplings, noise level above average.

Tora Dumplings
Went for a late dinner after early evening drinks. Huge variety of tasty dumplings and mostly fried noodles and rice dishes.Service was good, attentive and kind.Portion size for fried noodles was amazing, felt full and satisfied. I ordered beef dumplings in chili soup too which came in chicken broth I think. Beef would have been nicer but still good. Noise level was way above average.

Best pork shanghai dumplings i've ever had! I was only in Melbourne for a weekend and stopped here to refuel inbetween shopping, best decision ever! And really well priced too.

Tora Dumplings
Dumplings were great, but edamame and vegetables were very overcooked and came out very late when we were about to leave. Would have taken them home but they weren't edible. Asked to have them taken off the bill but the staff would only discount a small amount. Normally I don't say anything in these cases but thought it was a bit crazy. Staff obviously under a lot of pressure, felt bad for them, but at the same time I don't want to pay for food that is poorly cooked and takes forever to come.

Decent enough dumplings but the vegetarian are not amazing and the veggo soup buns are really just the dumplings in a different package ie no soup just that green mess for filling . Service and surrounds fine just didn't meet our expectations and the eats offered nothing we couldn't get closer to home and cheaper. Can eat outside with the pooch is a plus.

Pretty much a I love dumplings under a different name even has the same menu.Place used to a awesome cool burger joint with heaps of colour and style.. that's all been removed and now it's bland as hell, food was mostly on the colder side as they seemed to be reheating most items.Do not recommend.

Dumpling restaurant on Brunswick St with great food and a really nice atmosphere decorated with action figures and collectables. The restaurant has multiple different seating arrangements with tables, bar seating and an upstairs area. Staff were nice and the food was served very quickly. They also have discounted beers from 2pm - 7pm every night

To be 100% honest, I only walked in because the name Tora was the name of a character in a game I was playing at the time. Talk about being guided by the hand of a divine being, since my life has never been the same after walking through those massive wooden doors. I love the food, plain and simply this is hands down the tastiest food I’ve had in Melbourne. It is the only restaurant I don’t mind ordering the same thing at and it’s the only restaurant in my list of things to do before leaving Melbourne. We have brought every single visiter to Melbourne to Tora, and even accidentally multiple times since we are so enthralled by the food. Good service and even better food!

Great place, tasty food!This place it great, we were walking past and had a quick look at the menu, wow, we were easily sold. It was a hard choice, everything looked good. We settled on the spicy peanut dumplings, pork belly with soft bread and cucumber and mice noodles.Everything has super tasty but the pork belly was my standout. I had a couple of tap beers, the black Orion is a favorite of mine and went perfectly with the dish.I wanted to try the pork balls, they looked great but unfortunately that was something we had to order ahead in advance. Next time gadget…Service was good, nice friendly staff:)We will definitely be back!
