Apex Park
What a wonderful spot to free camp. Plenty of shade. River next to camp for fishing boating or kayaking. Volunteers do a wonderful job mowing and keeping things clean. Wonderful playground for kids and plenty of covered areas for picnic with BBQS supplied. Hot shower coin operated but river water is used. Donation appreciated for volunteers use this for fuel for mowing otherwise they buy out of own pocket. Lovely town of Moura close by with IGA mining museum and water tower art.

Well clearly this place is beautiful and has a great deal to offer to one and all. My family are enjoying everything and more of this once in a lifetime trip away in a caravan. Along with friends and new acquaintances they set off a month ago and have enjoyed every minute of it. With Covid around and not being able to travel to far this is the place to be this time of year. In and around Longreach Winton Anakie Moura Roma gem fields etc. they highly recommend anyone to do this tr

Great little rest area with good, well kept amenities. Electric BBQs available and 1 wood one; fire pits; boat ramp; and a little park area. Donations requested and $1 for 4 min long hot shower. About 7km from town of Moura. Few flies and bugs about especially mozzies in the evening.

Not too bad... certainly serves the purpose it is intended. I wouldn't rate the amenities highly, but again they are free if that is what you need.

Put my boat in out Apex park to fish the Dawson River. Just west of moura. An ideal camp spot for caravans or tired travelers just looking to roll the swag out.Situated around 1 hour west of biloela and 50 minutes to 1 hour south of Baralaba. With a donation fee to the park you can stay of up to 7 nights here. This park has 60 camping sites on the peaceful Dawson River. Is well maintained by local council. With all the facilities, wood fires and gas BBQs, kids play ground as well as for the keen angler a good boat ramp accessible out nearly any water level.8 minutes away in the town of moura there is super market and 2 pubs with counter meals and drive-thrus. Out the park it's self there a weir just down stream making it a top spot for fishing the stocked yellow belly and the abundant natural population of Saratoga.
