The Smile Centre Langwarrin

I've been seeing Dr Afreen at The Smile Centre for a few months now after a recommendation from my partner and have recommended her to all of my family and friends! Dr Afreen is so thorough and compassionate and found some fillings/sealants needed that other dentists had missed previously. I love how kind and gentle she is as well!

I would never recommend Afreen at this practice or this practice , I have never had issues with my teeth and prior visiting this centre, I had never been told my fillings needed replacing, Afreen requested that I replace my fillings , I went in on the 31/3/22 to get two of the fillings replaced. That evening I had terrible pain in my ear and tooth but haven’t had a filling replaced before I thought it would be a bit more tender, the next day the pain was horrible , I googled and saw that it can take a day to settle , on the Saturday, I was unable to open my mouth & my ear was incredibly sore, the pain was unbearable, their practice was closed on a Saturday, I tried call in on the Monday, 4/3/22 only to have an out of office for Easter break !!!!! Their practice was closed & Easter was only the following week, I tried three more times that day but it was still closed so I sent an email and booked to see a different dentist elsewhere.After seeing a different dentist they told me my filling was not done correctly and had fallen out and caused an infection, I was in such pain & felt so sick from the infection, I’m currently still having issues with that tooth Afreen did and I honestly have never had toothache in my life. Nothing was wrong with my teeth prior visiting this practice and now I’m left with constant pain, I’m so disappointed with their service, all I got was an email on the Thursday saying sorry but sorry didn’t fix my tooth or pay for me having to see another dentist.I never leave reviews but I feel I needed to warn others of this practice, question the dentist if they tell you that you need work done and get a second opinion because if you have private health insurance I truely believe they see you as a dollar sign.

Dr. Afreen is an amazing dentist. She is great with patients and I would highly recommend her.

My normal dentist wouldn't see me due to stage 4 covid 19 restrictions. I rang my private health and they told me to go straight to the smile centre in Langwarrin. I rang them & explained that I had a impacted wisdom tooth and was in severe pain. They told me to come in the next day, even though I had never been there before. The lovely ladies on the front desk made me feel so welcome & I couldnt have been happier. The service was amazing, I got a refferal for a surgeon, a xray & antibitoics. Within 3 weeks I was in hospital getting the tooth removed. My whole family is now moving here. Couldnt recommend more!
