Plenty of seating, indoors and outdoors. Craft beer on tap which rotates. Food was pretty good service was friendly very popular spot

A go-to place for every Australian in Canberra. The place is, as the name says, an old and authentic cabin crowded by Aussies on weekend nights. Every palate on the menu tastes magnificent. Even more, the tap beer ranges from a variety of pale ales to lagers, which change every night.

Would I come back here?...Yes.It's a non fussy pub with a lot of outdoor seating. I forgot to take a photo of the schnitzel but it was good! It did take a while to come out but I think they were short staffed.You can order from the QR code at the table, makes it very easy.A good range of drinks and the staff were friendly.

This place has a nice atmosphere and a good range of beers to choose from.The parking though is a bit horrible and you'll find yourself in a tricky spot if you go up the back and notice that it's full, so park at the oval close to the school and have yourself a nice walk.Rug up for winter ❄️❄️❄️

great food and venue lots of history connected to it, it would be cozy and comfortable in winter. the outdoor seating is great for the summer. the dessert is always a win, its big so perfect to share between 3 or 4 people.

UPDATE:Still an amazing place for food and drinks. Service is next level good and the overall experience was perfect. Couldnt recommend coming here enough!Excellent old style pub, has exactly the feel you want and the name says it all.Staff are very friendly and was really nice to see them making sure it was all Covid safe and people had masks on. Had a group of guys walk in with masks around their chin or not even on, pulled them up right away.Food was so hot and fresh we had to wait to eat it, was absolutely burning hot, just what you want from a meal. Everything was delicious, seasoned perfectly and overall really well done. The French fries dip was outrageous, get extra if you can.Ordered was:AranciniHalloumi friesFrench friesNachosAgain, the staff and attitude just gave a good vibe which lead to a great experience.Will be back forsure!!

You gotta try this amazing pub in Canberra. Several different local beers to try, very well priced food menu with huge portion sizes. Another plus is the ambiance, the place is a well kept pub from almost a hundred years ago, with a very nice outdoor setting for the almost rare hot summer days of the capital.
