Club House Hotel
(Written on behalf of Melinda Wilson and Ruth Barcan)Nick (the proprietor) was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. He put us up at short notice when our camping trip was threatened by snow. The hotel is truly beautiful, and is getting a fresh overhaul which is in keeping with its Federation style. The pub meals were very generous and the bar atmosphere was convivial.Nick lit an open fire in the upstairs lounge just for my friend and myself, it was very kind of him to do so.I could not recommend this place highly enough and will definitely come back!

Highly recommend this pub in the main St of Griffith NSW.Service was friendly and efficient.Our meals were fantastic.We had the rissoles with mash and veg. So nicely done just like at home.I had the flathead tails with chips and salad with plenty of fish. Prices were good too

A great country pub undergoing renovations. A number of comfy rooms available with up-to-date ensuites and bathrooms. Off street parking. Good range of great dinners.

Traditional style pubright on the lauchlan river.Well priced rooms.Plenty of tables out back.Fireplaces nearly always going inside and out back.Interesting heritage items in bar tables inside.TAB and Keno.Traditional pub menu with good serving sizes and quality.Occasional mexican night menu(fortnightly).Easy walk to caravan park and free riverside camping areas.Fishing or boat docking platform at rear.Verandah overlooking the main street.Accommodating staff.Main attractions in the area are hunting, fishing, golf, races night, and local show.Great place to relax.

Do yourself a favour and stop in for lunch. Very friendly and welcoming. Good selection on the menu. The parma with vegetables was so generous I couldn't eat it all. Steak sandwich was nicely cooked and very filling with a generous serve of chips. Some locals on another table even shared their birthday cake with us. Well done Hillston

Locals prioritised over visitors!! Waited over an hour for our meal, locals in the queue directly in front of us were served over a half hour before us! You may think this is ok because we will unlikely come to the town again, but there are 2 outcomes - 1. We have a network, so we spread the word so future travellers get the bad word and will avoid you. And 2. Us travellers bring our own food and don't spend in the local community! I have tried to spend in the local community since COVID but a number of bad experiences are now driving me back to being self supported.

The pick of Hillston’s pubs.Received a friendly welcome from the bar person, nice large and light filled venue with good service. Beer garden out the back and there seems to be an upstairs.Food is hardly gourmet but is good, honest pub food with large servings.Comfortable, welcoming and unpretentious venue with decent character.Will definitely return when passing through this town.
