Forbes Garden Chinese Restaurant
We regularly dine at this restaurant, the food is excellent. The standout dishes are satay, honey king prawns and the Singapore noodles are great. Some of the sweet dishes such as sweet and sour pork are a little too sweet for me and wouldn't advise for diabetics. The restaurant is clean, has toilet facilities and the service is fast. The portion size is great, the lunch time specials are excellent value for money

Had a great takeaway meal the other night, friendly service and the food was amazing. Well worth the walk from Forbes lake campground.

Forbes Garden Chinese Restaurant
Really enjoy our dinner there. Singapore noodles and Mongolian lamb were more then enough for two. Very nice flavours in the lamb dish, perfect with rice noodles. Prawn cutlets were bit of dry though. Overall enjoyed our dinner there.

No eftpos,no dining in no front counter! Lemon chicken was fried chicken in one container then lemon sauce in a seperate container,had to pay 30c for bamboo fork wrapped in a serviette that was sticky taped,so it was useless! Glad I'm only passing through town.

Highly recommend this place. The food is amazing - the chef is the best! Didn't have to wait long for the food and the lady owner serving me was friendly - excellent customer service! Would come back again to try more dishes.

Honey chicken tasted like bicarbonate soda which made me feel quite ill, it was also over cooked and did not taste like honey. When we sent it back (which we have never done before at any restaurant ever)!! we were questioned and abused by the COOK whom I assume is also the owner IN FRONT of our 10 year CHILD. The rest of the meal was fine. We were not charged for the honey chicken. The waitress was fantastic. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANY FAMILY!!

Friendly service with good attention to Covid rules. Satisfying take-away lunch menu. The food had good flavour and a good combination of veges, rice and meat.
