Shannon's have been great to deal with in the past but I called yesterday to let them know that my car was moving from the body repair shop to the trimmer to get the interior done, just as a matter of courtesy. The person I spoke to was arrogant and all he wanted to do was charge me more money for moving my classic car from one suburb to another. You would think that Shannon’s would know by now that all classic cars get moved around as part of the restoration process. I certainly won’t be telling them where my car is going to be in the future and this experience makes me doubt their integrity.

I rang to get insurance the sales guys were very good, very helpful and was a good experience as they were car enthusiast as I am. However, you buy insurance for when things go wrong to cover your self unfortunately that is where Shannon Insurance is a major let down so anyone looking at Shannon for insurance be Warned and try ring through to Claims to just check the experience as there is no point in getting insurance if you can not get a claim processed. I had my car damaged and wanted to lodge a claim waited more than an hour at two occasions only the phone to be cut off after an hour. I lodged a contact form online Ref:5002249 but no one called me back rang and spoke to Sean in sales who put me on to his supervisor Marsha only to tell me they can not help me for anything other than selling me another policy. I went online and lodged a claim online M080300688 23rd May 2023 still to date have not had any follow up from Shannon for any of my attempts for the claim I guess next step would be to ombudsman and fare trade office. I just wanted to let anyone know my experience and if you are considering Shannon for insurance please try contact their Claims and try the experience before you buy their products. As your self if you can not process a claim why you pay for insurance in the first place?

Shannon’s is a great place to insure your Classic car as they cover your Car for all different types of Insurance like minimum use and insuring the car for its actual value with a maintainable of the vehicle if written off.I have had my Cars insured with Shannon’s for many years and have always received great service and follow up with any dealings with them. Even have one of my Cars used in their advertising program as the Hero car of the Ad.The red 1956 Ford Thunderbird that is fully loaded with 312 motor and every accessory possible. I would highly recommend Shannon’s for all of your Insurances even your House and Contents insurance.

Have been a Shannons customer for over 8 years, have called 5 times separately, all at different times of the day in the over the past week and been placed on hold over 50 minutes each time. Have completely given up contacting them and currently without my daily driver or a hire car. Called sales and was speaking with someone within 4 minutes, what an absolute joke. Will be swapping both my vehicles as soon as this claim is complete.

Motor insurance - the claim process was easy and straight forward. I was greatly encouraged by Shannon’s to use their recommended repairer SMART. I got my car into the repairer (27/01/2023) though 3 days later (30/01/2023) I was told to collect it as my parts were on back order. I was told to collect my vehicle TEN weeks ago today as they had ordered my parts that needed to be replaced and I would be called once parts arrived. I was told parts would arrive in 6-8 weeks. It’s been 10. My claim would’ve very obviously shown the damage to my vehicle. As well as the likely parts that would’ve needed replacement. I am annoyed that I was encouraged to take my car in to a repairer who was not in a position to repair my vehicle in the first place. Claim number M077842340 should someone wish to look into this . 10 weeks is a ridiculous time to wait for my car too be repaired. With no end in sight.

Called for a quote, then called back and used their auto payment facility. They didn't send the insurance documents and i had to call, provide proof I paid, and then wait on the phone for 25 minutes for them to find my payment. They were helpful, but the insurance docs should have been auto generated. Insurance sounds simple, but the real test will be if we ever claim. Their flexible insurance options are good. Would recommend them, but you need to speak to a human.

Shannon's are the classic car experts when it comes to insurance especially.The consultant i spoke to was Inforned and informative and my cars were both insured in just 21 minutes.Impressive. And I'm happy.

I called to report by car had broken down at 1030am. I was told a row truck was 90 minutes away. No truck ever showed up. I spent the whole day stranded on the side of the road. Every time I called Shannon's they said the truck would be there soon. The truck didn't show up until 7pm.Do not use Shannon's. They will treat you like dirt.
