What a joke this place is receptionist is so rude I wanted to consign Australian art of well known names that sell way over a thousand dollars each then tells me they don’t take that sort of art but checked there result page they have a lot of paintings that only sold under $30 I have dealt with a lot of auction houses all around Australia for over 35 years and still have a great relationship but I’ve never experienced such rude arrogant stuck up auction house in my life . This receptionist who ever she is should be sacked on the spot and replaced by someone who is pleasant to talk to

We arrange freight for Vickers & Hoad and they always provide a top notch service for their customers. The staff are very helpful in communicating exactly what they require to get their customers the items they have purchased quickly and in excellent condition. This business is a disgrace. Spent nearly 10 thousand over the year. late ONCE for instate pickup, kept in touch with dates. Now blocked form bidding at next auction. What a mongrel way to run a business , like a pack of feral animals . So arrogant and humilitaiting . they dont deserve your business. Better fairer second hand dealers around. They have no respect for customers once they have your money your up against a wall. be careful!!!

Fantastic, Professional and Courteous. I am an overseas buyer located in Canada. I became acquainted with Vickers & Hoad thru their online auctions, which was an eclectic offering of rare valuables and antiquities. As a dealer myself I found their staff to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful in answering all my questions to the fullest. I have requested details regarding a lot of the auction. Without answering to the question, the auction house told me I need to provide photo ID to get approved to bid, which is quite standard for all auctions. But I would wanted to see the details of the item first before deciding if I would participate in that particular sale (and would provide ID if I want to bid), so I replied the email politely to request for the information again. The auction house did not reply and blocked me from bidding straight away. Rude and arrogant.

American buyers, have no fear! I had the pleasure of purchasing a VERY large Persian rug from Vickers and Hoad, and even with the shipping cost it was an amazing deal (though you should definitely get multiple quotes for shipping). The staff was attentive and understanding as I arranged for shipping, and the rug arrived safe and so quickly - in just one week! I’m astounded at the quality, cleanliness and softness. I have purchased rugs from other auctions in Germany and the US but this has been my best purchase by far. Thank you Vickers and Hoad!

Very organized auction house. The staff in Vicker's & Hoad are very helpful. We organize the freight service for them every week. Everyone over there are very nice to our courier. And the clients are receiving the top service. I will recommend Vicker's & Hoad auction house to all my friends.
