Brisbane Whale Watching
My grand daughters had not been on a whale watching tour and I made the right decision to book for the next day.We were greeted by immaculately dressed, well organised and courteous staff. The boat is in excellent condition and is designed to give everyone a great vantage point. The day was amazing with multiple pods of whales up close and personal flapping their fins continually and showing off their huge bodies and white underbellies. My youngest daughter suffered some seasickness and the staff were very attentive and thoughtful. Nothing was a problem.A well earned 5 star rating from me.

So many whales!!!! Not only did they manage to get us in a position to see whales, dolphins and more, the tour provided tons of interesting info about the creatures and a relaxed pace that perfectly complimented the beautiful creatures we were viewing. Amazing experience!

Booked this as a down time activity for my hard working wife. A beautiful wintery sunny day. Walked down the Redcliffe wharf to be cheerfully greeted by the staff who skilfully got everyone on board and on our way. A quick trip across Morton Bay, past Tangalooma and the wrecks and around the top of Moreton Island. Lots to see and learn about from our captain while went down the western surf side searching for whales. There she blows and it was on. Lots of encounters and so worth it. A simple lunch a couple of beers, some more whale watching and safely home. Beautiful smooth round trip. Most enjoyable and I would recommend anyone any age group to add this experience to your list

This was one of the first trips I booked when I knew I was coming to Brisbane and I couldn't wait to get out on the water. We booked the transfer from Brisbane and it was really simple and easy to get to the pick up point from our apartment! Picked up by a friendly guy and once we'd picked a few others up we were on our way to Redcliffe Jetty. Once there we had a bit of time to get some coffee then we headed onto the jetty and the fantastic Eye-spy catamaran. We had booked the VIP cruise so we were on the top deck with our own table and we were offered some complimentary beers! Fantastic! We were also first to the buffet being VIP's! We set off from Redcliffe and over towards Moreton Island and we got a good view of all the different seabirds and the sand dunes of Moreton Island. I was intrigued to see on the website that it states 'guaranteed sightings of whales or your money back'! TBH, I wasn't sure a whale would do what it's told by a load of tourists and I'm sure if they wanted to, they just hang about in the deep but suddenly Captain Kerry notified all the passengers that 3 humpbacks had been spotted and we all legged it up to the top deck. And lo and behold, there they were! It's hard to describe in words.. I would just say you have to do this trip to experience the sheer size and magnificence of these beautiful creatures! How on earth do people hunt them? Japan, shame on you!!! It was like they enjoyed being by the boat and just hung around for ages, coming up and down and spurting from their blow holes. There were a number of different pods and what was great was that there seemed to be no rush from the crew to move on! They do this every single day in the Winter months but they came across as it being the first time they'd sighted them! The crew were so helpful and informative and Captain Kerry told us so much information about the whales and the area we were in. Honestly, this was one of the best trips I did in Australia and at the end we were driven back to Brisbane - most of the coach was asleep but I put that down to the excitement and the sea air! Don't think about doing this.. do it!!

Disappointed, booked a full day tour.Brisbane Whale Watching Cruise - Full Day - Adult BWW011/Left port at around 950am back at205pm, since when does approx. 4 hours constitute a Full Day???If I’m working for a full day I am there approx. 8 hours……sure my boss would disagree with 4 hours being a full days work.1 hour to open waters, 2 hours chasing whales, 1 hour back to home base. 4 hours. We saw a few whales, a couple of distant breaches, a tail flap or two, although just glimpses.Second time we have tried this and second time same result as first. The staff were very helpful and friendly, some ok commentary, lunch was good also.Would love to get that special trip where whales actually come up to the boat but alas, that will always be “should have been here yesterday” territory, maybe try Hervey Bay next time.Regards.Wayne.

Fabulous day... Tour guarantees that YOU WILL SEE whales or you can come another day, free of charge. Spotlessly clean boat, fabulous staff and wonderful playful whales. Weather-wise? Simply magical.

Good1. Excellent staff2.Good food3. Comfortable4.informative tourBad1. Not quite satisfied about the whales. Expecting more. Might be because of the season, as my trip was in mid October. Maybe more in June- August??2. Bought the premium seat. Not much different from the regular ones. Have to fend off people who tried to seat in my place and made me look like a selfish person. Besides, u can roam around the whole deck. There's no point to buy the premium ticket if you're gonna move around a lot.Final say: Ok trip..but probably once is enough
