We recently had our wedding catered by Will and the team at Ateş. We’d dined at the restaurant previously, and always said having them cater our wedding would be an absolute dream scenario. Food was a really important aspect of the day for both of us, and we wanted our guests to enjoy a simply excellent meal, while still feeling like they had been invited over to our place for a family gathering. Happy bellies = good vibes in our book, and that was a non-negotiable for our wedding. We contacted Ateş, and to our absolute delight they were more than willing to work with us and provide catering for our wedding. From then on, the entire process was nothing but lovely. They were always responsive, enthusiastic and happy to accommodate our questions and requests. We were so impressed by their hospitality, and felt so excited by the sharing menu we created together. The flexibility to tailor our own package was incredible. We ended up with several canapes, two starters, several sides, a main protein and some desserts. We ordered our alcoholic drinks through Ateş as well. We were a bit lost as to where to start with drinks, and so they provided suggestions and guided us on quantities, which made the process infinitely easier and stress-free.On the day, they were incredibly professional and efficient. The food was amazing, and was everything (and more) than we could have imagined. However, what really struck us was the service. Everyone on the team was lovely. Our venue manager at Waldara Farm was beyond impressed by their professionalism. All the staff seemed to really enjoy what they were doing, and genuinely be having fun doing so. Many of our guests commented on what a lovely presence the staff were, how they interacted with the kids and seamlessly accommodated everyone. Our guests were raving about the food for days after the wedding. We couldn’t have had a better experience, and are so grateful to Will and the entire Ateş team for making such a positive impact on our wedding day!Photos by Jess Tremp from Brown Paper Parcel (@brownpaperparcel)

The food was delicious, and unique, I felt every dish had been crafted with care. The location is easy to get to if you are in the upper mountains. What makes this place trully exceptional is fun team of young, vibrant, and knowledgeable staff who have a true passion for hospitality.

Sooooo delicious, beautiful service, lovely warm courtyard. We only popped in for entrees and bubbles as we were having cocktails and mains at Blaq (which we really wish we didnt) the scallops

Fantastic!! A quaint restaurant on a quiet street. The decor inside was very tasteful and rustic. The staff were incredibly friendly with explaining the menu and also providing tips on what to see nearby. The dishes were rich in flavour. My personal favourite was the parisian gnocchi - absolutely melted in your mouth!

Absolutely wonderful meal! Well rounded palette experience. Great serving size for the banquet. Phenomenal service. Tudor was outstanding with his knowledge of the menu, wine notes and care. Would absolutely recommend as one of the only hatted restaurants in the mountains.

In my opinion the restaurant is overrated. The atmosphere and Focaccia was nice. But all in all the dishes of our menu were way too oily, small and not very special. For 2 persons we got 3 leaves of salat to share, one scoop of icecream, one carrot or one sliced tomato with cream cheese. Unfortunately the main course a piece of fish was tasteless and with bones. Maybe we went there too late and that’s why we only got leftovers.

Even though it was booked out online, was able to walk in and get a table in a little heated courtyard. The setting was beautiful with greenery draped over the wall, and yet the food was somehow better! We did the chefs banquet which was perfect for 2. Could not recommend this place any higher.

Probably a 4.5, but as an appreciation for kindly fitting us in last minute, have bumped it up to 5. The food is very pretty and comes out very quickly. Plus Plus. Most of the dishes were also very good in taste. The Octopus was my least favourite dish as it was a bit chewy and had lots of chopped parsley scattered on it.Favourite item was the crabmeat tartlets.Minus one point for atmosphere only as it does feel a little crammed for a fine dining sort of meal (more of a Cafe setting), and there is a 10% weekend surcharge even on a Saturday, which is a bit unusual as I've only seen this surcharge on Sundays at some places before. But overall still a nice experience.

A cute & delightful local restaurant with down to earth friendly staff & cozy vibes! The food was lovely, great for sharing & the service was very quick! We ordered the wood fired focaccia, zucchini tart, gnocchi & roasted pork neck. We loved the pork neck & gnocchi which was so flavourful & tasted quite special! The focaccia serving was huge but unfortunately soaked in too much oil for our liking. The zucchini tarts looked pretty but was very tiny, flavours were underwhelming & the tart itself was very hard. There wasn’t a lot of cocktail options but we tried 3 & they were decent but not overly special.Overall, it was a pleasant experience & we enjoyed a Sunday escape to Blackheath. The friendly staff definitely made a huge difference for us!
