Peaceful relaxing place to go for a walk or run. Just a shame it doesn't go a full loop around the reservoir. Still worth the visit.

Disappointing walk as you are barely near the reservoir for most of the loop. So if you are interested as a scenic walking trail, forget it.

Hello people! Last year my class did a project on the Hope Valley Reservoir and (i know this sounds rude) they put nothing from our project in there! Also when my relatives went for a walk/run, they said it wasn't the best. Sorry for the rant, but I think it need to be said.

Hope Valley Reservoir
Extremely disappointing walk. It has so much potential but hasn’t been designed very well. Most of the walk involves walking outside the reservoir and you can’t get close to the water. The play gym is good and my little one hasn’t had a chance to rate the playground yet as he’s still a newborn.

Pleasant quiet place for walking and riding. Amenities in good condition. The track which runs north of the car park is the most developed and has a playground at the end. Much of the greener central areas are not accessible to the public but it is possible to ride or walk outside the perimeter fence in sections to do a complete loop.

The facilities seem good for a picnic or something but don't bother walking around the reservoir. Most of the walk you're not actually near the reservoir itself and half of it you're walking on the foot path on the busy main road. It's a shame because you're looking down on some nice bush next to the reservoir itself that would be lovely to walk through.

Great place for a walk. It has good parking which is easy to find. Nice new public toilets which are kept clean. New barbecue areas around the reservoir. Play grounds for the kids to play on. Lots of wildlife in the area also, however it’s not pet friendly so you can’t bring your dogs for a walk. It also has some gym equipment with QR codes on to explain how everything works. It also has QR codes on the playground and barbecues. You can’t get to the water as it is drinking water for the local community. Definitely worth a look if you want to go exploring.

A very relaxing place to go for a walk, go watch the birds/water or to sit down, they could do with a few more benches & the benches should be a bit higher, as my elderly mother had difficulties getting up from the bench as it was unusually low. Its just a pity some people seem to ignore the two (2) signs that tell you no dogs allowed in the area. But it is a very nice place, not huge, to go for a walk or to sit & enjoy the view & relax.

A bit disappointing as you're walking faraway from the water and it isn't a loop! What is The point of being in nature if you're behind a chicken wire type fence
