Coles Union Square
Store was renovated Feb 2022 .Is now clean bright .They made a very poor decision in removing the delicatessen adding An off site Coles bakery , which is very poor quality and none of the products cater to customers with nut allergies etc.Produce department very poor , wilted vegetables and very pricey compared with market prices , meat department constantly has blown packets of meat , still for sale on best before date , low quality and inconvenient pack sizes.Further update : March 2023.Produce very poor quality and regularly out of stock , Meat case constantly empty , poor example of a Coles store.Update May 2023 , produce and meat quality still very poor, grocery well stocked .Have installed large self serve checkout area , an improvement..Still no delicatessen, only very expensive pre packed deli portions ..

Not one checkout with an operator.You try to force me to a self service checkout by offering to do it for me , but that just helps you to prove that people are happy to use self service checkouts.Woolworth in Albert Street says thank you.Hope you guys go bankrupt.If I could give you less than 1 star, I would.

This was my first time at this Coles branch and I was utterly disappointed. The quality of fresh produce is below average. I got my favourite Soy crisps in the scoop & weigh section and when I tasted it, it was horrible! As if it was cooked years ago- the taste of oil or something was crazy! Never going in to this branch EVER again!

They have just installed self serve checkouts everywhere leaving one staffed checkout at the cigarette counter. Very poor customer service forcing us to use these self checkouts. I feel sorry for the elderly and the not so tech savvy. Bring back more serviced checkouts and better customer service.

Have everything you need. If you like dumplings Asian style, this is the store to buy them. Layout of store very good and products almost always are easy to find. Staff will always help if you can't however find stuff. Cole's caramel latte coffee in sachets is a beautiful drink. Ten sachets for around three dollars and 25 cents.

Upon entering Coles, I was taken aback by the sight of robotic checkouts in place of the traditional staffed ones. While the efficiency of the automated system is impressive, I couldn't help but miss the personal interaction that came with human-operated checkouts. The choccy aisle, once a delightful haven, seemed to have lost some of its charm as well. With a heavy heart, I've made the decision not to continue shopping at this particular Coles location. Instead, I am excited to explore alternative options such as Australia Post, conveniently situated across the street. I believe this change will allow me to discover new shopping experiences and build connections within my community.
