The crew was so friendly and helpful! The boat ride took about two hours and near the end we saw humpback whales. What a nice surprise that was. We were offered enough food on the boat. For morning tea we got scones and cake. Chicken and ham wraps for lunch. A cheese platter in the afternoon and even fruit before we arrived in 1770 again. The highlight of my day was the snorkling. Plenty of fish and turtles and the great barrier reef was magnificent. You could hire towels and a scuba suit if the water was too cold. I will definitely return, but I would bring my underwater camera.

Totally amazing day. Staff were friendly and helpful. Saw lots of turtles, fish and coral. Including a live turtle hatching making their way to the water. Provided plenty of flexibility to prioritize activities we wanted, but we did the set program.

Great day and awesome staff. Such a wonderful place to visit and the crew made the day better. Make sure you take seasickness tablets as the bar crossing can be rough. Highly recommended this trip if visiting 1770/Agnes area.

What an awesome day trip. Definitely take some sea sickness tablets as the trip out there is long and rocky. I highly recommend this trip if you like turtles because you will see heaps of them. The island was pretty but if I go again I’d more likely snorkel and dive the entire time as it’s just beautiful. Highly recommend doing the dive getting up close to the reef is like nothing else you will ever do.

This snorkelling experience was a once in a life time memorable experience. The sea life was abundant and we experienced swimming with turtles up close. The island tour was superb, the ecosystem looked untouched and the native fauna were not shy. On the boat, the staff was friendly, helpful and provided expert knowledge on any questions or inquiries about the reef and it’s surroundings. The gear for snorkelling was all provided for and worked perfectly. There was absolutely nothing to fault about this experience!

We had a great experience with 1770 Reef tours. Even though we went out on a rough day (15/11/17), the crew tended to everyone who was sick and made sure they were okay. The day out on the reef was amazing and we really enjoyed the island tour too. I cannot fault the crew as they did their best to ensure we had a good day. I look forward to returning to Lady Musgrave Island on a calm day.

Do not use this service for a camping transfer. Both there and back the staff were short with us and confused about what to do with us and our gear, and there were no seats allocated to us for the return trip. One example of the shortness and confusion of staff: upon arriving to catch the boat to the island, we were given several conflicting bits of information as to where we should load our gear onto the boat, resulting in multiple crew members becoming irritated with us. We were asked to move the items, then told it was put in the wrong spot again on two separate occasions. Upon returning from the island, the staff were very clearly irritated with needing to collect us from the island and helping to load our gear back into the boat. We would have been more than happy to do this ourselves, but it seemed as though the staff were required to help and were not happy about it. Almost all of our interactions with staff left us feeling like an irritation to them throughout our time with this service.Once on the boat, there were no seats reserved for us. This meant that for the 4+ hours waiting on the boat for it to leave the island, myself and two others had to find spots on the floor or the stairs to sit. I hoped they would make an announcement to existing passengers to take their bags off the seats and make room for us (as we had paid 240 each for a seat on the boat) but this did not happen. We have camped on the island before using a different service leaving from Bundaberg (for the same price) and it was exponentially better in terms of food, staff conduct, and amenities.Despite all this, I was really impressed with the level of care provided to those suffering from seasickness. The staff were really caring during the trip over and made sure to check in on those having a bad time with it.

The ocean was rough but we made it! Lady Musgrave Island is gorgeous. Snorkelling was amazing lots of sea life and corals. Food was okay. Except mechanical problem and 3 hours delay at the end of the tour, we had a fun day and staff made it great. Thank you for smiley faces and friendly service.
