Long Point Lookout
Well worth the diversion into the highlands to visit this lookout - peaceful and serene and after rain and on a cooler day the smell of eucalyptus is quite distinct. Down below you is the Shoalhaven River meandering it’s way east, and after rain, swollen and fast running. There is a decent path to the river that requires average fitness, best done if you give yourself a day to do it. Small toilet, smallish car park and short gravel road to encounter but a 2WD would handle it (even in the wet). Highly worth the visit.

Long Point Lookout
A stunning lockout over the Shoalhaven Gorge just 2hrs drive from Syd CBD, it is well worth a quick stop !!There is a very basic small picnic shelter and a dunny.The last 500m of road is graded dirt.There is fast food and fuel available nearby at Sutton Forest on the highway.

Long Point Lookout
The lookout itself is nice for a look if it isn't a long drive. The track down to the river has become rather overgrown and in many spots it's evident the track is deteriorating. I've been here plenty but the last time I nearly went over the track edge twice due to it giving way. The flats at the bottom are also nothing but 4-5 ft high weeds with spider webs between most of them. Hopefully they all die off in the cold weather otherwise I wouldn't want to go back.

Long Point Lookout
A hidden gem. We were the only ones there to enjoy some breathtaking views. There were tracks of differing lengths and difficulties. Highly worth the stop.

Long Point Lookout
A tough overnight hike wth packs for those venturing beyond the lookout and down the Long Point walking track - descending ~500m in less than 4km to the Shoalhaven river. Great views from the narrow ridge, spur and hillside hugging trail. Killer ascent.

Long Point Lookout
After many years visiting the Marulan/Goulburn area visiting family, I had no idea such a beautiful area existed there. Long Point Lookout is one of those areas! Looking out over a gorge carved out by the Shoalhaven River, it's an area of great natural beauty. A great bush walking track starts/finishes here that winds its way down to the bottom. I highly recommend some good shoes and maybe some bug spray but well worth the walk.

Long Point Lookout
The place is a hidden gem. Drive is awesome. The look out point is quite and peaceful. Wud live to come back again
