Few years since been there but enjoyed my stay. You must be self contained no TV or phone.

If you like being away from crowds this is the place for you and the owner Shirley is awesome. Toilets and showers are spotless

This property i visit twice a year they have showers and toilets and the owners are down to earth people.a lot of history from the days of the old gold rush days got a caravan good park.

Western Creek Camping Ground is situated between Georgetown and Forsayth in North Queensland. It is approximately 15kms to the turn off from Georgetown and then approximately 13kms from there to the campgrounds.Western Creek Camping ground offers a quiet, peaceful & relaxing bush setting with plenty of space & unpowered sites suitable for all types of set ups - tents , caravans, motor homes - everyone is welcomeGenerators & campfires are allowed and pets are welcomeThere is a amenities block with flushing toilets & hot showers provided for all campersWe also offer a camp kitchen; entertainment area & have a play ground for the kidsThere is no need to book in - just drop in anytimeShirlee does a round of the grounds each evening to book in new campersWe are open all year round subject to the wet seasonGold detecting + panning is permitted & for those interested there are also chiastolite’s to be foundPrices :Detecting + camping - $15 per day or $100 per week per personCamping only - $5 per day per person - kids 12 years & younger stay for free

Great place to stay and Shirley is a very nice and informant host.

Bloody big campground..plenty of room for everyone.. and the amentities were kept immaculate.

Hi my name is Maddison, At Western Creek Station we offer a variety of things (I'm not going to list them all) such as hygienic showers and toilets, and a playground for the kids to play on to keep them entertained ( it is now finished in the ground with sand etc) and a spacious camping grounds to camp. We just have finished building our camp kitchen head over and have a look on our Facebook page to see more new photos to come in the next couple of weeks. Shirlee comes over every afternoon to book you in or to come have a yarn. If you have any questions call us on 40625591 or if you are camping at the camping grounds come over to the house ( if we are home or go see the care taker if we are not home) and we can help you out. And sometimes when I am home I can take some kids or adults for a ride on my horses. And if you see bad reviews just ignore them. Cheers Maddison
