I dined solo and thoroughly enjoyed the grilled seafood mix and seasonal vegetables. The seafood was super fresh and tasty and the veggies cooked perfectly.Equally wonderful was the service by Tony the owner who checked to ensure everything was good.A wonderful waitstaff lady arrived some time after and she was superb and so easy to converse with.This is a hidden gem in Terrigal. Great value fab service and awesome food. O

Took my wife there for out 20th wedding anniversary after reading recent reviews the restaurant sounded like food would be fresh and tasty.Found the total opposite , mentions the best fresh seafood and this is not the case.Ordered the taste of the sea and when it was brought to the table looked amazing , unfortunately it did not taste like the sea at all and more like a dirty river.After a discussion with the waitess , we were made aware that it is all fresh frozen and not fresh at all.I would not recommend this place to anyone , although it is shame as it is tucked away in a nice quiet area of Terrigal and a nice Italian like set out with music to match.

Tonight's meal was fantastic.Chilli Bugs to start, Lemon Sole for 2 and the softest most succulent Lamb. Delicious.

If the meal was cheaper (say 50 or 60% off) then there would be more stars. As it stands though, very pricey meal with a quality and atmosphere that didn’t warrant the price. The gnocchi entree rivalled our kids’ macaroni cheese for quality, the bugs over done, and the duck and pork belly left a lot to be desired. So sorry to say, but the restaurant formerly known as the Letter Box is a return to sender.

Place was empty at peak dinner timeDreary place, no vibe. Menus falling apart they were that old. Food extremely overpriced as under average. Ordered the steak, tiny but cooked ok. Covered in very strong red wine sauce on top of mashed potatoes with hot chips in a bowl. Very disappointed. Extra star is because I felt sorry for the chef who had to wait tabels as waitress never turned up to her shift.

The staff are lovely but this restaurant is terrible. The food tasted like it was frozen and reheated. The tortellini was like a bread consistency. The interior once well maintained and charming (when it was the letterbox restaurant) is now rundown. Lovely staff but I was so close to asking for my money back as the main (duck and pick belly) was inedible. $25 for kids chips and nuggets was a horrible surprise to top off a really bad experience
