After listening to the Triathlon Nutrition Academy podcast, I was very intrigued by the approach to triathlon nutrition that Taryn Richardson employs. Her “No BS” approach really resonated with me as a triathlete. I needed someone to tell me not what I wanted to hear but what I needed to do to improve my own approach to nutrition as it relates to endurance sports. And she does exactly that!! After joining her three day Triathlon Nutrition Training Camp, I knew I had to sign up for the Triathlon Nutrition Academy-an extremely intensive year long nutrition training program with live weekly support with other athletes. The information and expertise provided by Taryn has been exceptional. Her vast experience in working with endurance athletes along with her deep educational credentials in the area of sports nutrition have benefited me greatly. And I have only recently completed phase one of the three phase academy! If you want to improve your results and performance in endurance sports, you really need to sign up for the Triathlon Nutrition Academy. As Taryn says, nutrition is the fourth leg of triathlon and it’s the one area that most triathletes suck at. She’s right! But she has the solution to fix that.

The Triathlon Nutrition Academy is well worth the investment if you are looking to get a better understanding of how to fuel effectiely for everyday life as a triathete or endurance athlete and for specific training sessions or races.

Taryn is the best of the best when it comes to nutrition advice for triathletes! I am forever grateful to have had her and her expertise on my side when standing on the start line of multiple 70.3 events. Her nutrition plan on race day and support throughout the training process has helped me achieve results in the sport I didn't think I was capable of. She is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, funny and honest. I have always loved working with Taryn and hope many other athletes make the smart decision to work with her too!

I was searching for an online nutrition program to help me with triathlon performance when I found the Triathlon Nutrition Academy. Nutrition, the fourth leg of triathlon, is not served well by the athletic community in my opinion. There are lots of nutrition coaches, courses, books and podcasts, but I struggle using those sources to develop a holistic, solid program that gives me confidence I am on the right track for triathlon. For example, I have an excellent triathlon training program that tells me exactly how to train for the swim, bike, and run. However, I couldn’t find a similar online program for nutrition until I found the Triathlon Nutrition Academy. The Academy is designed to customize nutrition to my individual needs in a way that gives me confidence I am eating properly before, during, and after training as well as on race day. The Academy doesn’t sell food or supplements. The Academy sells an education program that will last a lifetime. I would say that the Triathlon Nutrition Academy is to nutrition as my sport training program is to the swim, bike, and run. The Academy provides triathlon specific nutrition education, targets, planning forms and spreadsheets, and a weekly live venue to ask questions and learn about what other athletes in the Academy are doing to improve their performance. Thanks to the Academy, I recently finished Ironman 70.3 Indian Wells, California with plenty of energy and confident my nutrition plan was perfect for me. During my initial search, I couldn’t find a comparable, holistic triathlon nutrition program anywhere in the world that allowed me to learn online and accommodates my schedule. If you are a triathlete looking for an online nutrition program, I recommend the Triathlon Nutrition Academy.

Working with Taryn on a nutrition plan for my Ironman Campaign was excellent. Each training session had a specific, nutritional approach which helped me understand and respect the importance of fueling/hydrating before, during and after each set. Taryn also taught me that Service Stations are for purchasing Fuel, not Chocolate - amazing!! I couldn’t recommend Taryn more highly.

I have been seeing Taryn now for years, and to be honest, there is no one better! Every session with her is like a science lesson. It's important that we too understand why fueling is important and give us the tools we need to make proper informed choices and she explains everything in plain english. I came across Taryn's podcasts while searching for advice about fuelling myself best for a triathlon and also for recovery after hard training/brick sessions. The podcasts made me curious and I wanted to know more and joined one of Taryn's classes. I learned a whole new side to nutrition and in particular what, when and how much to eat before, during and after a race. I highly recommend to go to their website and sign up for one of their classes.

I cannot thank Taryn at Dietitian enough for getting me to where I am at the moment with nutrition and mindset around fuelling for training.After completing what was legit the hardest triathlon training camp I have done, nutrition honestly was the game changer. Mostly, thank you Taryn for giving me the confidence to trust the process and see 'food is fuel' rather than the enemy. I legit cried in happiness for 1. completing the insane climbing we had to do on the bike and 2. knowing prior to coming to Dietitian Approved, I would not have been able to complete half the training camp - absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend
