'Sensational' doesn't come close to describing our experience at Wheelers. The seafood platter was at a level I had never experienced before. Originally chalking it off as a one-off special dinner on our honeymoon my eyes bulged when a mountain of fresh seafood landed on my table. Every bit of succulent shell fish tasted as good and clean as the next. Multiple items found their way onto my 'best ever' list, including the oysters (how so good?) and the lobster. My wife, who never likes shellfish, loved the platter and enjoyed finding novel ways to get extra morsels out of the crabs. The staff made us feel extra special and placed us at the best table in the house. It was an experience we won't forget.

Beautiful flavours & plating, small servings. Expect to pay for quality here. The takeaway outside looked like a great alternative option for a less high-end experience.

Paid $21 per dozen of un opened oysters. All 4 dozen were C grade tiny, drying up and alot were no bigger then my thumb nail. TIP. Go to Oyster Barn for $15 per bakers dozen of premium quality.

Had lunch in the restaurant on their open deck and brought along our one year old choccy lab Barney. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, making sure we were settled in a comfy outside table and brought a fresh bowl of water for Barney as soon as we sat down. They even topped up his water once he had finished his first bowl!We started with the oysters kilpatrick and lime tempura prawns both of which were delicious. The prawns being a big stand out, with its well balanced flavours and fresh zingy dressing it hit all the right flavour profiles.We then both had the eye fillet which came with a Hervey Bay King prawn and were not dissapointed. The steak was cooked perfectly and the prawn was plump and full of flavour. Complemented by a side of roasted root vegetables added to our fantastic dining experience. Finished off with a crème brûlée to share. We were more than thrilled with all the dishes we tried at Wheeler’s and all the staff being so attentive and friendly, particularly with our overly friendly pup in tow made the experience A+ and hands down the best restaurant we have tried so far while holidaying in the Sapphire Coast area after driving up from Melbourne.Thank you for a memorable experience and we will definitely be recommending this restaurant to our friends and family.

Had the best Oysters Kilpatrick followed by Apple torte - yum! Nice dog-friendly outdoor area, and a shop selling other local goodies as well as takeaway seafood.

Wheeler’s is a must-try if you are in the area and enjoy a great place. The staff was extremely kind, the interior is beautiful and food was delicious. We had oysters, quail, cod and steak. Each one of these dishes were finger licking good.

Wheeler's Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar
First time coming to wheelers for dinner and it did not let me down. For my birthday mum and I went out and enjoyed the seafood platter for 2. It isn't a dinner to be had to fill you up, it's more for the experience of tasting all the different sea foods they had to offer. Definitely worth trying out at least once a year for a special occasion. Thank you to the beautiful waitress who took our photo as well.

I had an amazing dining experience last night at Wheeler's Seafood restaurant Pambula. The occasion was my 60th birthday. Right from the beginning the attention to detail, service & staff were exceptional. Our entrée, main & dessert were all superb. To top things off the staff served my dessert with a candle and then sang happy birthday. It was a most enjoyable evening and I would not hesitate to recommend.

I recently vististed this highly rated seafood restaurant in the hopes of finding fresh, high-quality seafood. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with my experience.First and foremost, the prices at this shop were bit pricey. For the quality of food that I received, I would have expected to pay much less. The cashier seemed confused when I asked for suggestions on what to order, and ended up suggesting dishes that were not particularly good. Thinking it was for 2 people and he just ordered me chips! Also my fault at not asking for receipt! Shouldn't have trusted them.When my food arrived, I was extremely disappointed with the quality. The oysters, which were supposed to be a highlight of my meal, were just so-so. The rest of the seafood that I ordered was equally disappointing.Overall, I would not recommend this seafood shop. There are much better options in the area that offer better quality food at more reasonable prices. If you're looking for delicious seafood, I would suggest trying one of those restaurants instead.

Food blogger and local google reviewerEntree - octopus look it was nice in taste but was over cooked slightly rubbery. Reason for 3 star for this entree is learning that this place is a well presented seafood restaurant it did not deliver on the octopus i had better from the area not going to name it read reviews to find it.Main - seafood platterI asked for oysters natural but I was told there was none due to weather. That’s fine but then makes you think how old are the cooked oysters. And I was correct I know my oysters well. One tasted nice Another had a foul taste when oysters do not taste the same freshness something is not going on well. With all do respect being known for oysters and having a oyster farm… I don’t wish to comment more because I know what’s going on.Lobster fresh nice , bugs the best fresh taste nice , prawns no questions hands down tasty clean fresh prawns.Then we move on to the fried stuffScallops fresh nice tasty…The fish thou no good how can you not perfect fish and chips. The batter was to oily and dark soggy the taste yes time for a oil change that’s what it taste like you can taste that the deep fryer needs a oil change to get that perfect golden fry fish look and clean taste. Unfortunately disappointed fish in the inside was nice but the batter killed a perfect fish.Desert - very nice perfect constructed enjoyed itLook overall 3.5 star for my experience that day could be a hiccup and i did keep switching between 3-4 star but can’t give that 4 star the oysters was a letdown we came for them and they didn’t deliver.Give it a try. I recommend calling up thou making sure if they have fresh natural oysters before going sitting down and then being told there’s none. Would of been nice to know at the door considering people come to taste oysters for your oyster farm.
