Unfortunately I had a very poor experience at this business. After spending over $80 on a selection of takeaway cakes and tarts to offer at a family gathering as desert - we were all very disappointed with the incredibly dry and hard deserts. They were all so hard to cut and also eat. I suspect they were made some days ago and very stale. I did message the business afterwards but the response was just that it can't of been bad food just not to my tastes. I was really disappointed at this response.

Called in for for morning tea 13-11-21. The place looked delightful in its setting. We were 2nd couple in that morning with one person sitting near the door already having a coffee. The sat down at an inside table and first I had to move a huge plant sitting on our table as it took up so much room. Second although there was three people on staff plus I assume a chef, it took a long time before our order was taken. While waiting for our coffees and croissant to arrive a few other people came in and sat down. One couple then received their coffee before we did ( not good). I then received my croissant but no cutlery and no coffee. Five minutes later the cutlery arrived. Coffee was eventually bought out but was wrong order, so that was taken back then one of our coffees bought again and was still wrong, third attempt that got mine right but again the wife's coffee was wrong. So with the current service ( A different person came to the table every time instead of the person who took the order) I could not recommend. If the service is improved as I am sure it will it is. a great little location with great potential to be a fantastic spot for a coffee.

I booked a table for my first anniversary with my wife with a high tea all paid for upfront to confirm the booking. Upon her falling violently ill and me taking care of my wife, I contacted Gigi Chix to explain the situation. I was told over the phone I’d receive a full refund as there was no cancellation policy on their website or booking portal. I received an email the following morning saying I would not receive it.I was told that I should have collected the food, which was never explained to me at the time and I was told I’d get my refund.I have been trying to resolve this peacefully over email and phone but they won’t take my calls and have now started to ignore my emails. The non-chalant attitude and attempt to get out of an agreement already established has me disgusted. I have never felt this angry about the way a business has treated me before.I will never attend this premises and I honestly hope no one else has to go through the same experience.

Came here everyday during our stay at Hunter Valley - beautiful coffee and French-style pastries. AJ the owner and pastry chef is warm, welcoming, and talented. A must visit when you’re here - it can get quite busy with a long wait on the weekends but definitely worth the wait!

Ordered:- Ham, cheese and tomato Croissant for take awayThat breakfast was so fresh and satisfying! The croissant had an amazing thin layer of outer crunch and soft inner layer. The service was fast, organised and very friendly. The only thing I could suggest is adding lactose free milk in the drink options.

We can only assume they’re building an airport in the Hunter Valley Gardens, otherwise we cannot fathom another reason why we paid so much.Beware - they don’t list their prices for the cafe… we ended up paying $41 for two coffees, a pre made baguette, and a ham and cheese croissant. We’ll concede that the coffee itself was pretty good, and ignoring the price the food was also decent. Just felt a bit swindled.Edit: Hi G&C BB team - thank you for responding to my feedback. Times are tough and I can imagine as a small business you’re feeling all kinds of pressure cost wise. Please show your customers, who are all also facing cost of living pressure, the respect of listing your prices in your cafe. If your prices change every day then a handwritten note works for us.

Ordered what we thought was a share plate based on the price of the item and advice from the staff. Hardly a share option and very awkward to eat.15% surcharge was steep however happy to pay it. Hopefully this helps get the industry back on its feet.Had a 20% one later in the day.Coffee was perfect. Thanks

Great little Cafe. Good coffee (no lactose free milk though). Good food. The menu is simple and reasonably limited, but all good. Fabulous dessert or sweet selections. Great decor. Comfy seats. We had a great breakfast.

By far the worst quality food and service.Ordered some croissants and a cheese platter. For the price, you get very small servings so it’s definitely not worth the value. It wasn’t busy there and we waited over 30 minutes for the food. One croissant came with jam which was $4 extra and it was literally half a teaspoon serving. The excuse given was they had “run out of jam”So we asked for something else to put on the croissant and then this bowl came out.Got the bill and this tiny serving of Nutella was $5Do yourselves a favour and don’t go here. The staff are stupid & rude, and the food isn’t anything special
