Big shout out to Rachel. She has been super helpful and always take the time to patiently respond to questions I have raised with her. Her friendly disposition is a welcome change to experiences I have had with other phamarcies.

Each prescription was $9, or more, expensive than elsewhere, when you have a few prescriptions to be filled who can afford that? Plus to receive any members discounts you have to pay to be a member and it runs out so you have to pay again! So what discounts do you really receive? Sorry, that's the last time i make that mistake!

We went to buy cold and flu tablets today and they took my partners license details and told us that he has already purchased cold and flu tablets today and denied us the purchase. Obviously we were quite confused and went to the police thinking that his licence details had been stolen and used to buy sudafed. Turns out that they have entered it onto their system twice and offered us no explanation or apology. We spent hours between the pharmacy and police station trying to sort out the issue. The pharmacy hasn't even acknowledged their fault.

The team at The Friendlies Chemist Castletown in Townsville have been just wonderful! They gave me great advice with my medications and they have a massive range of perfumes - which I just love! I highly recommend popping in for a visit.

Extremely unfriendly and unhelpful verging on hostile. Routine prescription fill and struggling to find the QR, I asked whether the alphanumeric code would work and was told simply no while the worker was filling out another form, no eye contact. Had been almost indignant to see someone standing at the waiting counter to start off with already but this took the cake. As a doctor I’d be very concerned about my vulnerable clients who are not thinking straight due to illness and who would need a person who is actually kind and human in this role. Recommend to use a larger chain if this is what’s to be expected at a smaller one. If you’re the owner please don’t send me another telephone number to discuss this feedback. You have known about this for apparently five months and seem to have done nothing about this. Totally understand where the other negative reviews are coming from now.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Dropped in after my grocery shop to grab an over the counter item. Approached the two ladies who were chatting behind the back counter. I requested an item which the first one had no idea what I was asking for, and the other said they didn't have that brand but had a generic which was the same. So I purchased the item. Returned home to realise it was a completely different medication. I called, and the Lady who had served me passed blame by saying she didn't have the original item to compare it to, which is completely insane. If you are in the dispensary and you don't know the medications and need other medications to compare them to, you shouldn't be in there! I then returned to the store to get a refund and asked to speak to the pharmacist about the incident. She didn't care at all and said she was to busy for this, took me to the front counter and I left as I realised what a waste of my time this was. Lucky I know the drug names and don't just rely on pharmacy staff for what should be professional information. Hopefully this doesn't happened with more serious medications... But who knows. This place is a joke full of rude staff. Disappointing.

Friendlies have moved to Charters Towers Road, opposite pizza Riviera in the old Toys R Us building. Great friendly chemist shop, easy parking.

Friendlies Chemist??? That’s an overstatement. I’ve been a customer there for 10+ years, I’m a Friendlies member and always recommended them to friends and family but after today’s experience, I definitely won’t be returning again and definitely won’t be recommending them. An older lady who is a Pharmacy Tech was so rude and abrupt. I approached the Moo goo stand to get my son a tube of eczema cream, the older pharmacy tech and customer were standing in front of the products discussing the cream, I went to grab a tube, when the pharmacy tech said in a loud voice “are you two together”? “I said no I’m just getting my son some eczema cream” she said loudly and shooing me away with her hands”Well I’m going to have to get you to move away, you’re too close” I was so embarrassed, she said it so loudly that people were looking at us. Then she continued to complain about how close I was to the other customer. I went to the script counter and before I could say anything a girl said “We only take scripts here”??? A younger pharmacy tech and pharmacist tried to help but by this stage I was done. I think your staff need customer service training. I understand with Covid everyone is on edge but there are better ways to deal with policies then to berate your customers in front of other customers. You also could of stepped out of the way so I could grab the product I was going to purchase instead of standing in front of the stand so no one could access them.

Great service from attentive and professional staff

Non PBS script cost me $40 more than at another chemist, and a PBS script went up $9 in less than 2 months. So expensive and, ironically, staff weren't that attentive or friendly"."
