To commemorate Strzelecki's expedition through Gippsland on the route of his southern expedition, which took place between December 1839 and May 1840.This project was instigated by members of the Boolarra Historical Society in early 1990 which was the 150th anniversary year of Paul Strzelecki’s exploration of Gippsland

If going to foxes hole, please don't park in river or drive car down or camp, if one person drives down then a few more logic is,,,, where do tge swimmers sit, don't be lazy, park car across the road and walk to THE SWIMMING HOLE, NOT A CAMPING SITE OR A PLACE TO PARK YOUR CAR, PEOPLE HAVE SWAM HERE FOR YEARS NOT CAMPED
