Lilac City Motor Inn & Steakhouse

This is the second time I have stayed here and I have to say it is simple but nice. Has everything you need- coffee/tea area, mini fridge microwave and toaster. Carpet could do with a deep clean to get rid of the stains and furniture needs to updated but comfy bed and hot shower does the job for me.

Young gent who took our booking very professional, great follow-up with emails.Rest of interactions with lady staff member very lack lustre.Quiet motel, good shower, good location.Don't enforce the old don't park in backwards rule.

Stayed here last year. Paid extra to have my dog there. Not the issue. My issue was the 3 plates of half eaten food left in the cupboard. I took photos and I told staff. She removed them. I felt so gross staying in a room the obviously didn't clean properly. I told her we were leaving and I wanted a refund. She agreed. Took my card details, as she said it's the more accurate way to give a refund and her boss would do the refund. I chased them for months. Kept lying to me. Saying they had no idea why i wasn't refunded yet. Would take my details again. Say it would be flagged and forwarded to the manager. They have literally stolen my money. And it was a lot due to the extra charge for a dog. They've broken Australian Consumer Law here.

The room left a lot to be desired. Mould in the grouting and the washers in the shower recess were shot, causing minor flooding in the bathroom, I didn't bother having a shower. Breakfast was supposed to be included, I didn't get any. The staff were very helpful and nice, the room needs maintenance and has done for a while let the place down.

Great value for money. I enjoyed the little touches, not always found in budget motels. Wine glasses and nice body wash etc.Our room was small, but well set out. Having breakfast included was a bonus. The steakhouse was great, with good food at reasonable prices.The host was friendly and very helpful. We would definitely stay there again if we were in Goulburn.

Very disappointed in our recent stay. Room grubby, no milk, no cutlery. Bathroom as just a toilet with a shower tracked on to jut out into the main room cramping room beside bed. Sink was located in the main room

I've stayed here a few times over the yrs and always found them very helpful. The rooms are old, but kept very clean and the bed comfortable. It was good to see this place allows pets to stay. Rooms have all amenities and stocked with quality tea and coffee.Had a meal in the steakhouse and ordered a rare steak and vegetables. The steak was cooked perfectly and tender. Very happy price wise for both meal and room. Thankyou

Easy check in and check out. The continental breakfast is good and plenty of options available.The renovations are ongoing and you can see the improvements are continuing to be made.Good size room. Comfy bed and fantastic pillows.
