Urunga Boardwalk
Great board walk. You couldn't get two wheelchairs going side by side thought. The south side arm is closed at the moment. Lots of places to get off at the Mangroves Breakwater to.

Loved the boardwalk. Wheelchair/stroller accessible. Views amazing. Very busy in school holidays.Great swimming area, all very family friendly. Bathrooms could do with an upgrade however. No disabled toilets.Highly recommend this beautiful spot.

A spectacular wooden walkway, good for family time. Its by the river mouth of Kalang and Bellinger river where they meet the sea. Any time of the day is good to be but morning and afternoon is best time to be here. Watching sunset over the mangrove plantation, enjoying sea breeze or swimming at nearby beach are the most common things to do.

Hamish my dog and I had a superb experience we strolled along the boardwalk to the end where we encountered the beach. The views of the South Pacific Ocean are magnificent and not a soul in sight. Skinny dipping was called for, perfect waves, perfect temperature, only the sound of the waves lapping the beach.

Great footbridge goes all the way to the headland, caravan park is on the river where the footbridge starts and has ocean and river views. Lovely town with a pub, a club or 2, a supermarket and plenty of other amenities. Great for fishing and boating. Great for families and couples and has lots of interesting towns and beach spots within a 20 minute drive. This is our next holiday destination for our 40 foot motorhome/bus.

Nice place to visit if you happen to be driving up or down the motorway. The board walk extends through scenic views of beaches, swamps and ocean with various animals species living in their natural habitat. Bbqs, gazebos and toilets in the area.

What an amazing place Urunga is, and the Boardwalk is the highlight of Urunga. I spent a night there, to do Parkrun, and so went out on the Boardwalk at both sunset and sunrise. This really is an amazing place. If you are going up or down the Pacific Hwy, drop in to Urunga, you won't be disappointed.

The Urunga Boardwalk provides an easy walk to the mouth of the Bellinger River and takes you out to the surf beach. You get a fascinating look at marine wild life amongst the mangroves. We also saw a variety of birds and wallabies along the way. A definate must when visiting Urunga.
