Awesome aquarium. Shame about the crowds and how rude some visitors can be, but that is not the fault of the aquarium. Just find some quiet times to go in. Despite their bookings based on times of the day, it can be manic at times, such as school holidays. The aquarium has some tactile things for the kids (sea stars, shark eggs, etc), virtual reality, treasure hunt and other interesting things in addition to the sea life. Oh, and check out the crocodiles.Yes food is expensive and there’s not enough seating but we didn’t have too long to wait before being able to get a table.Go slow and enjoy! It really is a good aquarium right in the middle of town, well served by public transport.

*please note the big sharks/rays tank is down for renovations*A good little diversion. Lots of fish, but also crocs, snakes, turtles, frogs and penguins too. Definately aimed at children, but an adult can appreciate it too.

Not many sea creatures that I can see here plus they are doing a renovation on a few sections during my visit, and yet need to pay for a full price.. I was expecting tunnel of aquarium like in Aquarium in Langkawi, Malaysia which is always took my breath away and impressed. In Sea life there is no such thing apart then just a few glass aquarium that I can see more of that in University Malaysia Sabah Aquarium section.

It's ok. Loved being able to take the kids. It was clean and the attractions are pretty cool. There's not much in the way of food in the cafe, probably the most disappointing part.It was pretty packed and getting around a little frustrating. (Not all the aquariums fault, some people just cant/don't read signage)

We had an amazing time at Melbourne's aquarium.Anyone with kids who is travelling to Melbourne and thinking about going it is totally worth it. My daughter said it was the highlight of our trip.Underwater creepy crawlies, jellyfish, star fish you can touch, a walk through glass dome section with saw fish, manta rays and sharks and an Australian wetlands area with snakes, frogs and crocs.Plenty of photo opportunities and learnings for the little ones. Has a cafe and a gift shop for a cute little souvenir. If you've got kids, (actually even if you don't) it's absolutely worth it to spend a few hours here.

The first two floors were OK and can get a little crowded. Jellyfish exhibits are fabulous, as are the sea dragons and sea horses. The crocodile is enormous! The penguins were our highlight!

Great place to visit.. can spend hours there just watching the fish. Not too bad for a public holiday there was a fair amount of people.

Great experience to spend a relaxed Sunday arvo. Buy tickets in advance as there is no wait if you do so.

A good way to spend a few hours with young kids. My husband isn't a fan of aquariums in general and he found it alright. It's not the biggest place, so thankfully it wasn't that crowded when we visited on a Monday afternoon. The kids loved the interactive displays and there were enough nooks to crawl through to keep them occupied. We especially loved the crocodile enclosure, and the commentary about the croc was interesting as well. A good place to visit!
