The Oberon Common

Great place to stop and let the kids run around. Heaps of space at the gazebos to host a picnic lunch or children's party. Improvements being made often by council.Little mixed by a blue metal tree that's recently been erected. Looks like a civil law suit waiting to happen. Don't think any thought has been put into the safety side. Can see kids climbing the thing and impaling themselves on it.......only a matter of time.

Lovely park...excellent for walks , great for kids ..nice play ground with a flying fox, clean toilets. Small.ponds in park...came across ducks, turtles...watch out for turtles.Don't step on them thinking it's a stone

Nice and big area to walk around.A lot of things for kids to explore...Ducks swimming in water...walking across road...lots of swings, flying fox....I like it!

Really beautiful park with great playground equipment for big and little kids. Stop here if you can for a good break.

Quiet and relaxing. Ducks to feed. Just don't give them bread please.

It is a great open space with a playground, duck pond and seating area. There are some great monuments informing people of the previous mayors and a couple of walls with small pieces of trivia. There is a big pergola for enjoying a picnic and a fenced off private area where we found some ponies grazing. Parking can be limited here but it is a great find.

Good facilities. Lots of local families enjoying them. Great place to stop and have a break from driving.

Best park in Oberon! Mammoth open space with large playground , BBQ place , walkway and ponds.Swimming in the pond isn’t allowed and not safe too. All general amenities are available. And place is quite peaceful. Story of Oberon is portrayed neatly at memorial heritage wall. Recommended

The Oberon Common is THE spot to play and picnic in Oberon. Occupying a large space, the park has fully equipped, covered BBQ areas, grassy spaces shaded areas for picnics and 2 playgrounds. The first playground on the upper slope caters for smaller children and has some shade. The second below is in the open so bring a hat. It has a flying fox, swing set, mouse house and climbing frame for older children.There is a few pieces of exercise equipment for adults too.There are 2 small lakes on the common with ducks to feed. One has a small bike/scooter track around it. Clean bathrooms are available. There is both designated and street parking available and plenty of it. You can navigate the park with a pram. The kids had a great time
