If you ever come past Iluka, it is definitely worth coming here. My boyfriend and I stopped for lunch here because we were on a road-trip and needed to take a break. We weren't necessarily looking for anything incredible to eat but happened to find this place.So glad we came here, the food was delicious, the staff were lovely, the destination is beautiful, and it was all for a similar price for sushi you could just get in a food court. There was a bit of a wait, but fair enough for the quality of the service! Wish I lived closer so I could go there regularly! Such a cute little joint.

Best B&E roll I've ever had.These guys launched yesterday and were bustling when we rolled in at 9am (they open at 8)It's a Japanese/Modern fusion and I wish they did dinner because I know it would be amazing and just what this little town needs.The view is stunning. The service is welcoming & friendly. The food is amazing.Get in and support these guys. You won't regret it.

*2023 re-review* - reviewing my rating down unfortunately. The slow service speed also applies when you're the only customer, old mate gins around in the kitchen and took 25 minutes for a bacon and egg roll with no other orders in the queue. The food is still top notch. The young barista knocks out awesome coffee. The older women taking and serving orders are forgetful at best and the larger lady places her hand on the food when serving to your table.Absolute marvel of a hidden gem here.You will wait for your food (very small kitchen) but it's absolutely worth it. A Japanese couple are running the kitchen and it shows in the food quality and presentation. Even the chicken in the sushi was freshly grilled to order in front of me. The Break Fast burger had no prep work prior - the tomato was sliced and lettuce cleaned à la minute.The bacon and egg roll was highly recommended by others but I had the Break Fast burger (twice) - the korroke on it was astounding, and the brown onion sauce tied everything in. I had teriyaki chicken for lunch with arguably the best tare I've ever experienced. The sushi was made with care and a wonderful flavour balance.The wait time is unavoidable in such a small kitchen, but do yourself a favour and allow the time - this is one of the best food experiences I've encountered lately.

The most amazing, creative Japanese food in a stunning waterside setting. We have had breakfast, lunch & dinner here and every meal has been a taste sensation. Sometimes they are quite busy but it is worth the wait. The sunset/evening dinners are a must when open.

Beautiful local spot for breakfast, from 11:30am-2:00pm they offer great Japanese dishes, burgers and fresh made sushi. Highly recommend having a taste of the Japanese beer on tap too!

Absolutely stunning location with amazing tasty Japanese food to match the view. The Friday evening menu is a delight with so much flavour and variety. The breakfast menu was good too, those breakfast burgers are yum!! It would be great if there was a drinks menu. I wish I lived closer as I would return often, thanks guys.

OMG ! Absolutely delicious!!!I ordered salmon burger, fresh local tempura roll and salmon tempura. everything is fresh and made on the spot. Lovely staff beautiful location. Definitely worth to try !!

A real delight. Quirky and unpretentious, yet strangely sophisticated. Made welcome for lunch and had the most delicious, reasonably priced meal. The seafood nasi goreng was particularly well prepared and presented. Being able to walk straight in from the ferry adds to the attractiveness. We arrived at a very busy time but the staff made a particular effort to seat everyone quickly and comfortably. A treat.
