Birch House at Jody's Ridge

This is an amazing property, spacious living areas and great bedrooms. The patio entertainment area was perfect for our family getaway and with great views. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Had an awesome stay at this place. More so Alison and her family were wonderful in helping us with all the information. The house is a very well maintained clean and is equipped with state of the art appliances. We are definitely going to stay here again and highly recommend this.Thanks Alison and Graham.

We are so glad that we chose to stay at Birch House. As a group of 9 people we loved being able to spread out across the 5 large bedrooms, 1 of which is a ginormous master complete with glamorous bath in the actual bedroom, and another 1 of which was in the attached studio which had a kitchenette. There were plenty of showers and toilets so we didn’t have to line up. We couldn’t get over the views that stretch along the entire building. The house is massive - the kitchen alone is monumental so that we could all prepare food without getting under each other’s feet. We had so many options for various tables to eat and drink together and many areas we could gather for tv or board games. Plus a table tennis table in the attached games room. The house was pristine and faultless in terms of cleanliness (we had a few spiders but there were no webs anywhere so that’s no one’s fault at all - just nature). We were grateful for the copious amounts of complimentary items like a mini fridge full of juices and other drinks. We will certainly return. We all agreed that we had a luxurious few days and we’ll be back to enjoy the wood fire in winter.

Outstanding beautiful accommodation 10/10 facilities, perfect location for our family getaway, close to all the attractions of the Yarra Valley.

Words simple can not do justice to our amazing stay. The property was simply just spectacular with lots of space for our group of 10. The property has the most amazing view and is really peaceful and quiet - the perfect place for a few relaxing nights away. The host could not have been more accommodating and the property was so beautifully clean and cared for; with a combination that made you feel like you were not only the first guests at the property but also felt like home at the same time. Our only regret is that we didn't stay a 3rd night as two was just not enough. We are already planning on a return trip in the future.

This property is without compare. Exquisite decor, relaxing quarters throughout and a beautiful master bed room balcony to survey the beautiful surrounds. The amazing kitchen facilities, spacious bedrooms and games rooms make the stay a delight. The most perfect location to relax in the peace, spot kangaroos and listen to kookabura cackle amongst themselves. Incredible property.

5 stars are simply not enough to adequately reflect the experience we have just enjoyed at Birch House. The photos are beautiful however they cannot do justice to the setting or the quality and comfort of the property.Each room and the extensive outdoor seating areas have extraordinary and ever changing views of glorious valley and rolling hills. The home itself has several well separated living and entertaining areas and a fabulous kitchen with every facility to prepare meals. Fixtures and fittings are of the best quality and the French built in fire is a great focal point. There was a very generous supply of cereals, jams, condiments, wines and soft drinks too.We were a group of ten and stayed three days as part of a pre and post wedding adventure. The home was perfect as it provided many private and also communal spots to prepare for the big day (and to recover from it). The bedrooms are each wonderful and extremely well presented. The master suite is so perfect that we didn't want to leave! The private studio is just that - a separate and wholly self-contained facility with its own kitchen and sitting room.The dual bar-b-q facilities are excellent and there is plenty of seating on the under cover deck all with glorious views. Several rainbows were laid on too. A games room caters for the competitive urge.In order to work off the extra calories we walked up the track leading to the ridge behind the house through native forest full of birdlife and the occasional kangaroo. Good walking shoes are essential and the gradients are steep however the reward of the views at the top is well worth the effort.We were wedding focused however the property is very well located to visit all the sights of the glorious Yarra Valley and beyond so it is a wonderful base for sightseeing.Finally we would like to thank Alison for making the whole experience so simple. She was very easy to work with and the property was spotlessly clean and nothing was too much trouble.We cannot recommend Birch House too much and feel very privileged to have stayed there and know that it will be a wonderful memory for years to come.Danielle and Edwin + 8
