I couldn't believe it when I came to this water park it's so nice to swim and bring your family here, it's free unlike in NSW that you will pay $4 per person to swim in their pool and you will have many options of swimming pools for small kids up to adult. It is a very wide area and the water is nice and clean and a bit crowded when we come here because it's holiday time but still it's nice to stay and swim here from morning to afternoon and have a picnic with family.

Super loved it. Kids are loving it. Kudos to Mackay Regional Council for having this recreation area free for everyone.Note that the waterslide open every weekend and on school holidays and public holidays only.

A great spot to cool off in the middle of Mackay. Free entry is a real bonus!!Pity the kiosk wasn't open as it would have been nice to get a drink or an ice cream. But overall, very nice. We'll be back.

Only has 1 slide which is not always open and also the original kids splash zone that all the kids loved has been removed and replaced with a few water jets. Bring back the kids play area with slides, bucket and jungle gym. Amenities are usually clean and plentiful. Heaps of space to have a party with the option to use public bbq as well. Grounds are always well kept. Mozzie spray is a must in the afternoon to avoid sand fly attack. Cafe is also a bit pricey. Good place for the kids to swim and play but could be so much more.

Bluewater Lagoon is THE best place in Mackay to enjoy a day in and out of the water! The water is clean and warm and the waterfall is awesome to sit underneath . People of All ages can enjoy the comfort of the Lagoon and the little kids have a bonus Fun Park to enjoy.Bring your grandkids or bring a date, this is Mackays BEST place!

I would have given the water park a 5, but kiosk wasn't open. The water slide was only open on weekends which was disappointing, though the lifeguard said once there were three lifeguards on they would open the slide. When there were 3 life guards on we asked them, they rang the boss and were told no. The ages of our children were 7, 10 and16. They were really excited for the water slide as at that age there is not much else to do except just swim . Today is Saturday so hopefully the slide will be open. I really appreciate that it is free and well maintained.

Great place for families and everyone, there are everything that you need here and is free!!! There is a cafe (very good coffee) and some food also there is a small place for kids enclose with toys, everything is prepared for you to enjoy this place!!!!

With a very warm welcome water temperature of 20.3°, the is the best place to come and relax, or bring the kids and let the have some fun. And the best thing is that it's FREE. The water is clean and the grounds are well maintained. We went and spent a couple hours in the water just paddling around and relaxing in the shallow waters. We didn't bring the kids this time but these is heaps there for them to do.
