The Regional Resource Recovery Centre is where all the mixed recycling bins from the cities of Cockburn, Fremantle and Melville end up.The site has open days by appointment and is a fantastic wealth of information for people young and old to learn about what happens to their recycling when it leaves their household.Jarrod was our guide for the day and was able to answer all the questions the kids and adults threw at him.This centre is a very important part of the waste recovery effort and diverts many tonnes of waste from ending up in landfill.Well worth a visit, amazed by the bio filter that removes any bad smells which in years gone by plagued this kind of facility.
