RAC Driving Centre

I did the one day HR non-syncro course. My instructor Mick is highly professional, patient, and knows his stuff back to front. I went from nervous and grinding gears to comfortable on the roads in mere hours. RAC went above and beyond to ensure I was competent in driving the truck in as many conditions as possible. Thanks also to my assessor Paul. Keep up the good work gents.

We attended the Caravan Safety Course today and honestly can’t speak highly enough about it. The content was spot on, all the instructors and staff were superb. Highly recommended course.

I would not recommend anyone to get training with RAC. The trainer" I had knows how to to drive trucks but that is all; he has no idea what training is. I tried to inform them to improve but could not help. It was definitely a waste of my time and money. I would rate zero star but I am not able to choose that. I have to choose 1-star."

They offer MC lessons but don't have the equipment to actually perform the training. Say they have to hire it. You play the waiting game and it never eventuates. So you settle for a lesser licence grade like HC, then it takes them ages to upload the data to DOT when you pass so you can update your licence. And on the licencing front, because couldn't do MC at RAC training centre, had to pay for learners permit and then pay for full licence at DOT so ended up costing more because RAC were unorganised and unable to produce the service they advertised they were able to train on.If I were you I would go to Keen Bros. at least they're prepared and have the goods ready to roll.On the upside, the instructor was great.

I tried 2 hours lessons and would't recommend to anyone, total waste of money.The instructor claims that he is with the Department of Transport, and know the industry well. However, it won't help when it comes to truck driver training, because this guy just don't know what he is doing.This instructor is rude and impatient. He uses a very inefficient way to teach people how to drive a HR truck, nothing good but cost you extract dollars to learn.Serious you want to avoid RAC, this is not a good place to gain your truck driving experience.
