The berry pancakes are signed out as dairy free and that they can be served vegan as well. I asked for a vegan option before I ordered. The cream and the meringue didn't taste vegan, I'm pretty sure that there was cowmilk and egg white inside. Was there also egg in the pancakes?I'm so disappointed as I specially asked before ordering. Lucky you that I'm just" vegan and not allergic.Btw.: The raspberry sorbet was fantastic!"

Nothing has made me scream for ice cream more than the offerings at Van Diemens Land Creamery. While I didn't get the opportunity to visit their flagship branch, I was able to try out their lemon curd ice cream and blood orange sorbet. Looking back, it would've been my biggest regret if I didn't get to taste such a national treasure. When Van Diemens Land concocted the blood orange sorbet, they hit the nail on the head with the unmistakable tartness of the blood orange. It's expertly contrasted with the right amount of subtle sweetness that tingles your taste buds just like biting into a blood orange. The silky smooth composition of the sorbet freshens the breath with a tropical breeze, perfect for the Tassy summer.Instead of viewing the lemon as an overpowering acidity or a sugary tang, there is a calculated tinge of both that crafts the grandeur of the lemon curd ice cream. With bits of lemon zest mixed in, the ice cream is well blended, ensuring that you'll get the same delectable texture and flavour every time. You don't need to worry about the ice cream melting in your hand as it'll be dissolving in your mouth in seconds. How immaculate and milky this ice cream is will continue to live on in my dreams.Without a doubt, Van Diemens Land is the best Australian ice cream I have had.

I've been waiting all day for my special treat after our hike in the picturesque Cradle Mountain, and it was definitely worth the wait. They have some very unique flavours such as the pepper Berries, and lavender and coconut which can't be found anywhere else.

Absolutely amazing ice cream! Can see how Van Diemens Land Creamery has won so many awards! I got honeycomb crunch and salted caramel. Thoroughly enjoyed it. A must visit if travelling through or around the area.

The sweet potato fries are amazing and they were so crunchy down to the last bite. I then had the berry pancake! Wow! So flavoursome and not too sweet! Great place to have lunch

Popped in here today and wasn't disappointed. Lovely staff and atmosphere. We had a tropical pizza that was absolutely delicious and well priced. Topped off with the best lemon curd ice-cream for me and salted caramel ice-cream for the hubby. Great coffee and hot chocolate too! We'll definitely be back!

Overpriced ice cream that melts very fast, it's really popular (very long queue) but don't think they're worth the wow" tbh. Good place to chill and hangout though."

Their award winning pepper berry and leatherwood honey icecream alone is worth the visit. Very nice food and great coffee too. A definite must to visit if you are in the area.
