Modica Gas & Plumbing

We recently had a three sided gas fire place installed in our home. I cannot rate this Company high enough. Alex, who came out to advise on the installation and who installed the fireplace was very knowledgeable, honest and friendly. Alex’s prompt and quality service did not go unnoticed. Have to mention the Carpenters, electrician, plasterer and painter who all did a marvelous job. I can thoroughly recommend them and I honestly couldn’t be happier. A big thanks to Maria in the office who helped coordinate the project.

Alex Modica and his team replaced my old Gas Heater. Alex made this process for us so easy sourcing our new heater for an awesome price and the installation was seamless. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with yourself and your team and we will definitely be recommending your business to our family & friends. There's nothing like receiving great old fashioned service, great job guys.

Alex and Angus came to install a gas log fire, run some gas pipe to an outdoor area and also run water to plumb in a new fridge. They completed the jobs in the timeframe they suggested it would be done and cleaned up after themselves. They were friendly and very professional, and I can not fault them or the work they completed.In the days after, my ducted heater stopped working, I called Alex for advice, he suggested what I need to do first before worrying about having to purchase anything new. That got it back going again.Absolutely will get them back when I change over my hot water service, as Alex was happy to have a chat with me about what I could get to swap it over.

Alex did a wonderful job. Modica was very professional, efficient and great communication. Overall we are very happy with the fireplace.

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. Modica Plumbing damaged our brand new house.What was supposed to be a simple wood heater installation turned into having to get 3 trades (plasterer, carpenter and painter) to repair damages.Alex was on the phone the whole time and showed little concentration to our job. He showed complete disregard for our new built home.I felt further insulted when I went up in the roof to inspect the damage and saw that Alex flung what was neatly installed roof insulation batts all over the place and did not care about putting it back to the state it was in before he got his hands on our home.Hoping this warning / review can save others from having the same experience.**Update after owner commented on my review**- No contact by the company (Modica) was made or any apology offered as suggested by the owners reply. Pivot Stove and Heating company stepped in to mediate the debacle.- A full refund was not offered, Instead a discount of a few hundred dollars was transferred back into my account after Pivot Stove and heating stepped in. Costs to repair damages ended up costing more.- Any customer that had such an unprofessional installation performed would be just as unsatisfied.- My profile shows many positive reviews, and again.. no apology from Modica Gas or refund was offered. Pivot Stove tried to get an apology out of the Modica team but it never happened.- The time taken to leave the review is irrelevant. Expecting a company to perform a professional job is valid today just as it was at the time of installation.- Note: None of this is a reflection of the Pivot Stove and Heating Company. Pivot Stove and Heating Company have brilliant customer service and great products. This review is only focused on the Modica Gas & Plumbing company and my bad experience with them.

Really happy with the service from Modica. From the initial consult prior to installation to the actual install of our gas log fire, Alex couldn't have been more accommodating. Easy to get along with and does that little bit extra when a simpler solution would suffice.
