Merinda Park Learning & Community Centre

An absolutely TERRIBLE place to study. The admin staff are condescending and their (lack of) support for disabled students is disgusting. The course itself is run in a haphazard way, with students being failed on non-attendance" because they were told they didn't have to have a camera on during Zoom

waist of time 6 mthsand money unorganized classes everyone in my class dropped out.in the end.i have stared the same course elsewhere and doing well i do not recomend.Merinda park.

Wasted over a year of my son's life in a VCAL program that taught him nothing. The school is full of feral students, who have little or no supervision, they claim to have a zero bullying policy yet allow bullying to go on and when you try to discuss the matter with them, they claim they have no time to speak to you. I wouldn't put my worst enemy into the VCAL program, try Chisholm Tafe, for a bit more money you get what you pay for - an education....in regards to the comment added, I did try to speak with someone and was told they didn't have anyone available for over a month to talk to me, what a joke! I'm sorry, but my son was tested by Chisholm Tafe and had to repeat the year he spent at Merinda Park, he had gained very little knowledge. Just poor

Signed up for a course, paid my deposit, organized child care for my daughter & purchased a laptop, all set to start my studies.I didn't receive any communication from the center with regards to the course being cancelled or information on it going ahead, so I called on the day the class was meant to start just to make sure all was OK, only to be advised that they didn't have enough people interested for the course to go ahead. Really not good enough. Why wasn't I advised of this prior?Called today to arrange a refund of my deposit, only to be advised that their accountant is away for a few weeks and it would need to wait for their return. Again, not good enough. $200 isn't a small amount of money.The only reason I am not rating this as 1 star is because the enrollment officer - Steve, has been absolutely wonderful and apologetic about the way the admin team has handled the course not proceeding and the non notification about it.I can't rate or comment on the actual studies or teachers, I'm sure they are great, but my experience with trying to further my education through Merinda Park has been a poor experience & a large waste of my time.

I recently visited the Merinda Parks VCAL program as a guest speaker and was very impressed with their program. The VCAL team’s dedication and passion to help each student was amazing to see. Like any student in the VCAL program, they themselves have to want to achieve and from what I witnessed the team at Merinda Park encourage everyone to do their best. So it would be hard not to go forward unless they didn’t want to. The team are now working on Work placements in the local area, which will help these students grow even further with their confidence and hopefully find ongoing work.Keep up the great work Merinda Park you are an asset to the local community.

Great Child care and holiday program facilities with low costs. the educators are amazing (very caring and friendly)Both of my baby and my son are very happy there.Very recommended to everyone. I wish I knew this Centre earlier.

My kids go to the occasional care there, and the lady’s there are so wonderful. Even the staff at the front desk are always so lovely.

This is a fantastic community centre, there are courses ranging in all areas to help you further develop your skills and knowledge. They have facilities for hire and child care aswell as counselling. It's the centre that has it all. I'm glad I chose Merinda Park for my studies, i enjoy the smaller classes and find learning is a lot easier. The staff go above and beyond to help and are just lovely people.
