Selwyn Star Lodge

Being so close to selwyn snow fields makes the Selwyn Star Lodge perfect for those who love to be as close to the snow as possible while still being within society.The only real problem my family faces during our stay at the Lodge was the lack of connection, Telstra being the only network so far out into the snow was kind of disappointing for me personally as I am with vodaphone. Aside all the service issues there is a small number of other problems such as: a small slit in the bathroom window (when you get out of the shower it is freezing), although having breakfast service the kitchen was not yet finished so we had to outsource our dinner and in my own opinion the wifi wasn’t excellent but sufficed for the time being. Over all being mostly unfinished the Selwyn Star Lodge was a lovely place to stay with a Charismatic manager, close proximity to the snow and a warm atmosphere. I understand the stress and difficulty of running such a business and the fact of only being Purchased about a month ago is a great place to stay if you love carving up the powder.

The rooms are to small areas are blocked in morning for people having continental breakfast rooms also need bigger TV, fridge a lounge because they do not have lounges in rooms and a kitchen along with dining table

Beautiful little living area and rooms look like they have been recently upgraded. Friendly owners.Great location.

it was a nice little place with entertainment for kids and cozy rooms, plus the owners were amazing. p.s range rovers are the best

Amazing place. Irwin was very hospitable, we arrived just after the power came back on with a group of 14 and he was so welcoming, we warmed in front of the fire and unpacked our cars. After we settled in we did some karaoke by the fire and the kids watched so movies. The other guests arrived back from the snowfields and we all sat around the fire chatting it was very lovely and we will definitely be back. The rooms are small but enough for a family, very clean and tidy, everything was just great! We will be back Irwin thanks for having us!!!!!

Visited on 17-19 July what a wonderful family stay snow was close. Can't wait to go back next year

Very accomodating and friendly receptionist, you should be adding more choices in your breakfast selection. Highly recommended.

Rooms were bright and quite nice. The large shower head is great. The dining room and lounge area were very nice. Great hospitality

The rooms are tiny but clean. The common area is comfy and log fire at breakfast and dinner very welcoming. I can't applaud the owners enough for their hospitality and friendliness.
