Leisure Sax - Saxophone, Clarinet & Flute Tuition

Kei is an awesome teacher, my daughter always looks forward to her clarinet lessons. We found out about Kei from a friend whose children learn saxophone and flute with him. We went for a lesson and were happy with it. He gives helpful advice with problem areas, keeps the lessons interesting with a variety of music and employs various methods so that she’s always learning. Definitely five stars!

Kei has made a fantastic contribution to the music program at Riverside Girls High so far. He has achieved success as a dedicated conductor to the school Jazz Ensemble through local performances and our 2018 Regional music tour. Kei's enthusiasm and versatility as a saxophone tutor continues to inspire our students from Yr7-12 to achieve their musical potential. I would highly recommend Kei to anyone who is keen to learn an instrument.

Mr Kei is very kind teacher. He is very patient with kids. He relies children to succeed on their instruments. He makes sure that students are encouraged to play their instruments well. My daughter enjoys having classes with him.

I’ve been Kei’s student for about a year and I can say with all certainty that he is an amazing teacher. He’s gentle and enthusiastic teacher that gives constructive criticism and shows the student what they need to improve on. I would recommend Kei, as a great music instructor to anyone wanting to learn the saxophone for themselves or for their kid.

My son plays alto sax and he has been with Kei for a year now. Nothing seems to interest my son but he is enjoying his lesson with Kei. I am surprised when I asked my son whether he wanted to stop or change a tutor (because Kei's place is a bit far for us) but he said he wanted to continue and he would rather stick with Kei. Kei has used hear and play techniques which really have made the lesson more interesting. I couldn't comment much on the technical part because I am not familiar in this area. However my son said Kei is good. I am seeing happy face everytime he finishes his lessons and I am enjoying listening to my son playing more and more lovely songs.

My daughter switched music tutors this year and has improved markedly since having Kei as her tutor. She likes that he plays his sax along with her and is enjoying her lessons much more. Kei is gentle but firm and really encourages his students.

Kei is a great teacher to my two kids. One plays alto saxophone, one plays flute, and both have improved so much since they started this year. Kei challenges them with playing by ear, memorising songs, and overall, more difficult pieces. His lessons are definitely worth it!

Kei has been tutoring our daughter for a few years and she continues to enjoy the lessons and progress in alto saxophone.Kei is very encouraging to a young musician and this shows in our daughters motivation to practice quite a few times throughout the week.Lessons are in a comfortable environment and is a highlight of her week. Very happy with the approach Kei has to teaching.

My daughter has been learning with Kei this year and she has improved a lot and enjoys playing flute.She likes the songs that Kei provides her with every week. Her enjoyment in playing these songs motivates her to practice every day.

Kei has been an amazing mentor and tutor to our son, he has tutored Quinn on the Tenor Saxophone from age 8-10.. Quinn started with zero knowledge is now a competent reader and player of the instrument. We can't rate him highly enough..
