Emma's Snack Bar
Food was genuinely phenomenal but service was really lacking. Maybe the floor staff were too inexperienced or the team were understaffed to deal with the volume of the Saturday night crowd. Ran 15 mins late with our booking (which we weren’t fussed about) but we had to flag someone down for everything - to order, then for wine glasses, then for ice bucket, then for cutely, then for napkins, and we didn’t get the table water we asked for. Will definitely be coming back because the food was sooo good.

Emma’s Snack Bar is a restaurant that’s long been on our list to visit and finally went to. It’s a popular Lebanese eatery in Enmore/Stanmore not far from Newtown’s main strip. An inconspicuous corner frontage, but the Emma’s snack bar sign is on the middle of the door. When you enter, it reminds us of an old school milk bar, and the fit out is rustic with a large communal tables, bar seats and smaller tables.Service is friendly and helpful, starting us off with a few drinks while we peruse the menu. The menu is traditional and more modern Lebanese fare with the likes of kibbeh, fattoush, felafel, dips and more. It’s a good place for sharing and you can also opt for a banquet if you’d prefer not to have decide. We shared a range of dishes with the fam including: fried cauliflower (lightly fried and served with a tangy tahini sauce and parsley) fattoush (traditional tangy peasant salad topped with fried bread) and ladies fingers - three filo pastry rolls filled with lamb, pine nuts and pomegranate molasses. Another great option was the crispy hand cut potato cubes fried and smothered with garlic paste and fresh coriander. For the protein we had the moorish chicken; sitting in a Lebanese bread and marinated in tangy spices and topped with shaved red onion. Our favourite was the eggplant - Oven roasted, crispy shell and soft interior with garlic, tomato & lebanese spices. The food was delicious and certainly worth a visit.

Food is delicious and flavourful however seating is uncomfortable due to the small size of the restaurant.

Emma's Snack Bar
Bit hidden from the vibrant King St and the Enmore Rd. This little restaurant it’s a hidden gem. It’s a small space and can be little noisy. Food is really, really good. Staff very friendly and happy. One of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in the area.

This place is super delicious, the staff and the vibe make for a warm and cosy dinner setting. The food is sublime. As a celiac it's a bit sad to find out a sizeable amount of the GF options are not legit GF due to shared fryers but I didn't go hungry just huge amounts of fomo ; )

Emma's Snack Bar
This place does great food but is a little pricy when you start adding things on. Atmosphere is cosy and a good option for going out in/near Enmore. One recommendation would be to have some tables available for walk ins as they are often booked out and we have had to go elsewhere. Would come more often if I could come and wait in a line instead of only doing bookings.
