Summer's Holiday Inn

Gorgeous and quaint inn attached to a cafe and bar in North Melbourne. The 57 tram from Flinders/Elizabeth Streets stops right outside the door - stop number 11. Genial, friendly host, inexpensive tariffs and no bond required! I shared one room with two single beds which was more like a small apartment with its own private access to an enclosed garden complete with seats and a water feature. Decor is French Provincial/ Shabby Chic with wood tones and a gentle green colour scheme. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. Free wifi, cable TV, superb Sukin toileteries, towels and other fabulous items made for a very pleasant stay. The room was on the ground floor with the window looking out onto the courtyard and though initially noisy from the bar patrons, after 9:30pm the inn was blissfully quiet. You do get a lot of noises from the plumbing, just the sound of running water, but it never became an issue. The Summer's Holiday Inn is a real gem hidden away behind the old and ornate facades of North Melbourne. There are many gorgeous eateries and cafes close by and a hop, skip and jump from City central. Will definitely visit again!

Great location, so convenient for the football at Marvel Stadium, lots of places to eat nearby and Parking across the road. Comfy beds & modern bathroom. Kevin at reception was very helpful when we needed an extra night last minute. Fantastic value for money.

Stayed here for 2020 new years for an event in city with friends we basically had the hole floor it's agreat stay comfy cosy and the staff owners amazing as it's a inn you can relax at the inn or explore Melbourne. Netflix I wasn't expecting in the room that really cool . Air con Shampoo conditioner lotion toothbrush and toothpaste hairdryers water bottle powerblock and more supplied. There's more I could say about how nice it was but 100% would stay again easy ..Think only this I think could make it perfect is small mini drink fridge and a bathroom Matt but that's if I'm really nitpicking.

Awesome relaxed and welcoming environment, staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome, great laid back and relaxed environment, bar is great and location is great close by to all public transport and markets. Rooms were clean, cosy, spacious and very affordable. Highly recommended for a short or long stay.Gavin.

I don’t usually write comments but I have to say this is the best place I’ve ever stayed in Melbourne. Location is great and public transport is easy to access. Lots of restaurant just around the corner. Comfortable beds, new furnitures, great lounge area etc. Summer and Fiona has been very welcoming and kind hearted as our host. Fiona even supplied free breakfast for us! Thanks for looking after us during our stay. And we will definitely be back for another holiday.

Kevin the owner is a legend. Quaint older style place with cool eclectic decorations. Very clean, comfortable beds. Nice back garden area is a worthy break from the hustle and bustle of the city
