Sea La Vie

My family and I stayed here over Christmas 2016. We found the place to be in very poor repair and infested with ants. The room that my boys stayed in was downstairs and obviously the site of a major ants nest, as my 5 year old woke up screaming on the first night to find several thousand ants crawling on the wall next to his bed. The front screen door fell off on numerous occasions and the front staircase had a number of steps in need of repair. The house is not airconditioned and was like an oven on the (several) days when temperatures were in the high 30s. Definitely poor value for money.

Great views from the front over the bay and set in a lovely bush setting. Great location for families, close to beach and bush walks.

We had a fantastic 3 days and house is family friendly with great heating throughout the house. We loved sitting on the verandah looking out to the water. The outside is great for kids and we loved having the BBQ and having safe place for kids to play while all family had meals. Can’t wait to organise another weekend.

Had an awesome time staying here with my family last weekend, the location was amazing being so close to everything including the beach and the walking tracks, we had so much fun! The kids loved it! The place was fully updated which was nice, made it easy to fit right in and hard to have to leave. Next time we go we’ll Have to stay longer!

My family stayed there for a break. We found the house to be well appointed, with everything we needed for a relaxing time. The position is very peaceful and the views amazing. I thoroughly recommend this place and we will definitely be going back.

We booked the property in Bayview for a work Xmas event via AirBnB. Alex contacted us and asked us to switch off the platform and book direct as our request was outside of Airbnb rules. We were asked to transfer a $3k bond for damage and pay for 2 nights accommodation so that we had it for all of day 2 and leave on day 3. We turned up on day 2 at 10am and a person from Sea La Vie said we could not be there until 3pm It took some time to establish that they were wrong. The event went well and we were meticulous in leaving the property in perfect condition on exit by 10am on Day 3. We asked for our bond to be returned and the owner said that as a neighbour complained about noise at approx 10.15pm we would lose our $3k bond. There were worrying implications of hidden cameras and microphones but nothing presented as evidence. I am 1 month on from this debacle and no closer to getting my money back. In addition to breaking Airbnb rules, NSW rules governing acceptable use or surveillance equipment and reasonable grounds for withholding a bond the owner is very slow to respond and has presented many spurious and incoherent reasons as to why our bond should not be returned. I would advise looking elsewhere and avoid this company and its properties.

What a great location! We really enjoyed the beautiful views from the front balcony. The morning sun just added to it! In the evenings we relaxed around the outdoor dining area at the rear of the property. The house has all you need - very nicely appointed and well maintained.

The Pretty Beach is not for swim, there is mud instead of sand. You can play fishing.

- could be a nice place!- it`s run down- feels filthy- kitchen draws need to be repaired or replace similar to others in bathrooms- as soon opening a kitchen cupboards, it smells badly- bathroom basin top was broken on our arrival.apparently the cleaners finally notice it and were tryingto make us responsible for this!- the only medium size pot, a Teflon one ` was so badly worn.it is a disgrace to expect the people using such a thing.It looks like to me either the owner nor the agent understand muchAbout Australian standards!

Peaceful location. We stayed there with two families and the different spaces allow you to come together or have your own space as needed. Good areas for toddlers to play safely.
