Speak About Speech Pathology

I don’t usually write reviews but we have been at Speak About Speech Pathology for a number of months now and are over the moon with our time spent here. They are the most kind, considerate and professional people, who really have my child’s best interests at heart.It’s a shame Julia Van Arend and Nigel Bly like to complain about local businesses. They have not only written a 1 star Google review for Speak About Speech Pathology, but looking at their other reviews they have left poor reviews for many local services.Seems no service can keep them happy - out of the 18 Google reviews Julia left, 14 of them were unfavourable. Do you think it says more about these people than the services they like to leave bad reviews for?To use their own words - avoid these people! Total greedy liars who only care about money, not their child’s wellbeing!!!

Fantastic speech therapy clinic! Alicia is an amazing therapist who is so good with my ASD child and genuinely cares about his progress.

Beware! This place likes to rip off vulnerable people! They were charging us $85 for half an hour but since I mentioned NDIS funding they demanded we sign a contract with them to pay $144 for half an hour!!!! We are self funded and pay for the sessions with our own money! They told my partner that NDIS decides the rate we pay, not them, and they could lose the business if they don't charge us that rate! What a load of nonsense!! Total greedy liars who only care about money, not your child's wellbeing!!!

My son has been going to Speak About for several years. They have wonderful speech pathologists and great reception/admin. They are very kind and collaborative. We are very happy here and have seen great improvements in our sons speech. We have had Sal & she is the kindest and most wonderful speech pathologist!

If I could give 0 star I would.After months of being charged $85 per half hour, They decided they would increase the fee almost double to $144 per half hour. This is only after mentioning 4 letters: NDIS. As a self managed customer, we use our own money and then chose what will be claimed. Now they want us to sign a new service agreement with the new fee. Add to that, they are trying to charge us the $144 for our last visit prior to any agreement being signed. I don't understand how a business like this can justify exploiting customers for more money based on having NDIS funding. They see it as a way for their business to make more money at the expense of vulnerable families. The funding that is given to NDIS customers then deteriorates quicker than what a non NDIS customer customer would have. If they truly care about the customer, then things like this would never occur. If the customer doesn't come first in situations like this, then its all about profit.
