Absolutely love everything about Alex and our experience at Muddy Clay Play. I'm not usually great with clay and I easily get frustrated but she taught me the gift of imperfection and made me feel calm and present and that anything was possible. We went back from a second workshop we loved it so much, and my hand made lemon juicer sits proud on my mantelpiece to this day.

An elite Byron Bay activity. Alex has set up a gorgeous studio which is nestled in a beautiful green garden. She has a skill in her teaching and gives you the perfect balance of autonomy and guidance. You'll be so surprised at what you can produce as a novice potter!

I would recommend this to anyone heading to Byron. Went with some friends as a part of a hens weekend. Alex is such amazing teacher/guide who gives you just the right mix of freedom and support to make sure you go home with some lovely AND have a fabulous time making it. It's also in a gorgeous setting and convenient to the central area. Would absolutely do again

This place is a little paradise, a gorgeous little studio set in a tranquil garden. We had the freedom to make what we wanted and all came away really surprised at how happy we were with our creations. Alex is an absolute gem and gave us the perfect amount of guidance and encouragement to make sure we could all come away feeling great with something we were proud of. It was such a lovely mindful and enjoyable activity!

The MOST beautiful few hours you can spend in Byron! Connect with friends, completely chill out and learn the art of hand building. Alex is such a wealth of knowledge and her studio feels like a warm hug for newbies and pro mud-manipulators alike. Will be recommending to all.

Was so amazing! Had so much fun and guidance was amazing through the whole time! Would recommend so much! My mums 50th was an amazing experience for all of us!! Got to make this assassin teapot which was pretty hard but yet so fun and a challenge and with the help got to complete this!! Thank ya A!!!!!!

We've been to many clay workshops before but our experience at Muddy Clay Play with Alex was a cut above the rest. We booked a private session and felt so nurtured to make anything we wanted. Falling into the play/flow state made us feel so connected and present. We left in a state of bliss with some new coffee mugs to match. Thanks Alex, you're such a wonderful teacher and are brilliant at what you do for this community.
