I would not eat here again.We paid $74 for 7 pieces of salt and pepper calamari, 7 calamari rings, three pieces of whiting, 3 scallops and $3 chips.I waited for the food so I know it was fresh and not sitting around and was staying just around the corner.The paper was covered in oil, the chips were soggy and under salted, the fish was dry and the batter was an odd texture and was also dry and kind of chewy, the salt and pepper calamari was tender but tasteless and bland.The staff were friendly but the food was atrocious.

We ordered Aussie and Salmon pizzas, and they were absolutely delicious. They had lots of cheese and filling, crunchy crust, and taste was amazing too. Thank you!

We ordered 60 dollars worth of food, 6 dollars of chips, 4 flakes, 3 hotdog in batter, 10 potato cakes.The flake was not flake it was STINKING battered frozen fish pieces, when broken open it was just mush no one ate it and the car had to be aired out for the next couple of days.There was no batter on the hotdogs because it all fell off! Just 3 red deep fried hot dogs in the bag, chips were average. The only decent part was the potato cakes!I live over an hour away from any beach with four fish and chip shops within 10 minutes of me with better food

Best fish & chips I’ve ever had, and I’ve had heaps! Owner was very confident when we ordered that we’d enjoy our meal and we sure did. My husband usually gets grilled as the batter/ oil of fried fish gives him a headache. He smashed his fried flathead in record time- the batter was light and fresh and it wasn’t overly greasy like many fish & chips tend to be. My gummy shark was beautiful as well. We miss it already!

I was expecting something else after reading the other reviews.The portion was short (which I could understand for the fish but… the chips? c’mon, chips are cheap).Also, no lemon.

We bought the whiting and chips. It was honestly terrible. The chips were cheap crinkle cut and they were burnt and soggy.We also bought a chicken souvlaki which was very average.The fish was awful and when I took it back, the server said it was gluten free but we weren’t told that before buying. I’ve had gluten free batter before and it was good. This fish and it’s batter was terrible.There was a 20 minute wait time and when we ordered there was one person before us.I wasn’t even game enough to taste the food and we took it back immediately.The woman was dismissive and then went on to taste it saying loudly there’s nothing wrong with this fish.She also wanted to know how long I had it in my possession before I took it back trying to make me look like a scammer in front of people. We live 2 minutes away by car from the shop.She slammed the refund on the counter and walked away rudely.They refunded the money and I will never go there again.There’s better food elsewhere in Paynesville and the fish wasn’t fresh it was a prepackaged frozen product.

Service was amazing! Food was amazing, chippies were 10/10 and Vicki is such a vibe! It's true what they say about how Service and the person that makes it reflects on the food, because this time it really did! Vicki's amazing special sauce is great with the calamari, the battered fried gummy was so fresh and juicy! People like Vicki makes us city folk want to come down more often, she's such a gem❤
