Good little jetty to teach the kids how to fish. Has landings on each side to get closer to the water. Is a bit of a walk out to the jetty but you can always catch the horse drawn tram back.

It’s the only jetty on the Granite Island and a good place for fishing and observing the underwater wildlife and corals.

When visiting Granite Island, makes sense to go for a walk around and is a good spot for photo ops too.

Part of the jetty was cordoned off for a pair of nesting pacific gulls, with chicks.The jetty is called Screwpile from the way the structure is attached to the pylons, a modern method at the time of building.

The horse drawn tram was great. Worth the trip. The walk around the island is fantastic and the views are just breathtaking.
