Such a unique and beautiful landscape tucked away from the coast. It’s about a 35/40 min walk from the beach to lake wabby on a clear pathway through the dense forest. The walk was very beautiful with lots of very impressive trees!!Arriving at lake wabby you are welcomed by huge sand dunes and an unusual yet stunning tricoloured green lake ( the catfish in it are also so special!!)I’d recommend reserving around 4 hours round trip, (2 and a half hours relaxing and swimming approx.)One of the best places on the island!

Beautiful. Nice walk about 30 minutes one way. Footwear is essential as there are tree roots and twigs under the soft sand that will shred your feet. The sand in the sun can get very hot too. Bring suncream, snacks and drinks. Body boards are a hit too

Amazing place, 100% worth the walk! After walking both from the beach and from the lookout, can honestly say from the beach is the easier track even if is longer.

The Walk of Death" isn't as bad as it's made out to be

The walk sucks, about 1.2km downhill on large loose steps. Would recommend carrying a bottle of water. When you get to the lake there are lots of little fishes that swim in it that you can see. The view from the lookout is worth it, only about 200m from the car park and only a gentle decent. Where decent shoes for the remainder of the walk.

Good lake to cool off in but it is a bit of a hike to get there. The hike is about 2.5 km and the last bit is a sandblow so be prepared for a bit of a steep climb out of the lake area after your swim.

The walk in to the lake via the sand blow is worth the price of admission have a swim in the cool waters and dry off on the sand hill let the cat fish nibble your feet and don't run down the sand hill and break your neck
