I had a haircut here about a month ago, it’s was good and I had no issues.Tonight my hair was cut by a 17 year old girl who cut me a bob that is several cm different on either side. The sides are so different that my husband instantly noticed the lopsided cut. Obviously I’m pretty upset and annoyed. My hair is already quite short, any attempt to fix it would take it way too short. This haircut was for a wedding, TOMORROW! Won’t be back ever and I’d advise everyone else avoid as well.Customer service is always horrible. I’ve walked in several times and been turned away. Only to walk past 15 minutes later to see two hairdressers sitting in the customer wait area chatting and filing their nails or playing on their phone. Such a bad look, especially after I’ve been turned away. I think they are just lazy and low quality hairdressers.

Friendly staff and reasonably priced still.Edit: Attempted to get a haircut tonight and got turned away when multiple staff standing around little disappointed no signage or anything regarding not taking walk-ins etc.

I initially went to Gayes Hair Booval for a Re growth colour. Ended up with a band of untreated hair and this was done by the Senior in the salon. 6 weeks later, I thought I would try their Yamanto salon. A young girl did my Re growth colour. No one checked her at all. She missed pretty much all of the Re growth at the back of my head and the colour used was a grey. I am a blonde. Won’t go to any Gayes Hair Salons ever again. So unprofessional.

Took my daughter in for her first haircut. She has a habit of getting very shy and nervous when she meets new people but the ladies did a great job of making her feel comfortable and excited. Not tears and she loves her new haircut! Very happy and was affordable.

Went once and never again. Was given a trainee but not told so. She left purple black dye on my skin for 40mins, couldn't get it off and neither apologised or offered anything to help. I was charged full price. We have just dealt with a death in the family and had a dinner to attend, thought I would cheer myself up with a nice fresh colour. Completely regret the decision to come here. If I could give no stars I would.

I love the the ladies at Yamanto they are extremely friendly and always go out of their way to please you . Young Jess is do hood at straightening my hair and she does it to my liking

I’m not going to lie, not all the staff are amazing, but I don’t think they even realise how rude they can be to be honest. I am giving 5 stars because I always have my hair done by Abby there and she is amazing, super friendly and always does an amazing job with my hair. Also the apprentice is super nice as well.

Really great place for kids and toddlers haircuts. This place made my kid feel safe and no tears. Highly recommend and will come here from now on.

I have gone to Zara to cut my hair for 10 years and have often walking out of the shop if she is not there. Today may have been my last time as I am moving and today was just as good as every time I have been there. She is an excellent hairdresser and even better person. I have always come out of my hair cut with Zara looking good and with a smile on my face. Zara is the only reason I have been loyal to Gayes and I know that there are so many others that are the same! She deserves recognition and appreciation of her skill and her customer service.Next haircut you have, ask for Zara!
