Visited this Hotel for the first time last night. Great interior space and very much in the cool vibe of Collingwood. Will come again for sure for happy hour. Don't bother with the app to get your last one before it closes as ours just froze. Go to the bar before it ends. Great selection of beers on tap as you would expect.

The outside looks a bit reserved so it doesn't stand out on the street which isn't a bad thing.Inside is a clean, dimly lit interior with exposed bricks. Tables are spread out so you aren't crammed in.On the Saturday we were there on a Winter's afternoon it wasn't too busy.There is an outside beer garden that's reasonably isolated from the elements with outdoor heating.Staff were friendly, good variety of food and beers.Happy to come here again.

Used to like the old Spanish place.Now catering to young footy crowd, don’t appreciate sitting in the outdoor area blasted by the TV in one direction and footy fans on the other side.Food was fine as were the drinks, so all good but won’t be back, it has lost the reason for going.Obviously another pub for the footy crowd.

Liked the ambience of the place. Haven't visited since it was the Robbie Burns pub. New fit out is clean and modern. As the kitchen was very short staffed, we waited quite a long time for our food, which came out in bursts, rather than at similar times. We were celebrating a birthday so there were 15 of us. However, the waiter was extremely apologetic, and even gave us a free drink each while we waited. When our food arrived, it was excellent. I had Barramundi and it was yummy. Chicken parmigiana was popular- 5 of us ordered that- and it looked delicious too.We'll definitely go again, as even though service was slow, we had a lovely time. Goes to show how friendly staff, who explain the situation can alleviate stress. Drinks by the glass could be more extensive. Not everyone wants a bottle. Only one in each section were available by the glass. The rose was very good.

Staff gave my chicken parma i ordered to someone else and then made me pay for another one instead of fixing their own error. I explained where i was seated pretty clearly too, should’ve been an easy fix but no. Literally the only place I've ever eaten at that to take that approach. Pretty rude staff in general for majority of the night too. Definitely not recommended.

The service at this place isn’t the best, I’ll just be honest. Today I called prior to arriving to ask if the kitchen was open and the phone manner of the staff member wasn’t good. He sounded somewhat disgruntled that we were coming in. After arriving we get seated in the bistro , while I was paying for the food with my card the guy serving me merely put the eftpos machine towards me so that I could reach to pay, and literally grabbed my bank card from my hand without asking and did it himself. This agitated me big time. I actually should have told him off for it. This is rude, you just don’t do that. His response “you have to do it a certain way”…no mate learn some manners why don’t you. The price of the food was not verbally confirmed either he was ‘in a hurry’. His body language confirmed that he just didn’t want to be there. The fact that the place was quiet was a clear sign… the food is overpriced for the small portion we received, and the quality was as bad as the attitude of the staff member that served me today. Do yourself a favor and spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere . Avoid !

Had a lovely dinner here last Monday night with some friends. Their $15 chicken schnitzel special was delicious and couldn’t resist adding the mushroom sauce to the order. Chicken was perfectly cooked and crunchy on the outside, the slaw was full of flavour and the chips were fresh with a little bit of spice. The atmosphere was great, felt like we had lots of space and it wasn’t too loud so could have conversations with each other with no issues. Highly recommend and keen to come back to try more of their dishes!

I loved everything about Hotel Collingwood, the decor and ambiance was lovely, a great menu and exceptional service. The beer on tap was impressive and there is a beautiful beer garden at the back which is cosy.We shared a number of dishes, each presented and tasted amazing with good quality ingredients. We ordered the Kingfish sashimi, salt & pepper calamari, grilled fish of the day and Black Angus ribeye 350g, all dishes so yum and even better when washed down with a glass of beer!
