A wonderful spot in Tasmania! The road leading to the mount wellington is so beautiful. Definitely a must visit place. Make sure that you are dressed properly as it is freezing cold and windy at the top.

Not much to say that hasn’t been already. The drive up requires caution and can be busy, drive slow and be safe. There are many amazing walking trails to access, but if you want ‘the view’ you can drive all the way to the top and park and look out from the boardwalk. It can get very busy and if it is cloud covered then you can’t see anything! You’re better stopping 3/4 way up and doing a walk along the base of the organs for some great views year around.

Initially thought the view wouldn't live up to the photos I saw online. I was proven wrong because it was so much more amazing. We went to see the sunrise and since the sky was only slightly cloudy, we could see the sun peeking through.Best to dress warm and check the weather before you go - it was very windy.Side note: Best view from a toilet washing room I've ever seen

Was a fun afternoon. Great scenic trip. 50 min bus ride up Mt Wellington. It was -1c with windy conditions, so the windchill made it -10c.We stayed for 30 minutes, which was plenty of time. The toilets are heated too!Worth doing the views were breathtaking.

Amazing views and challenging trails. We were doing the number 6 track starting from spring to the top. The path isn't too hard if there is no ice or snow. Taking time around 1.5 hours one way.

If you're planning to drive up Mount Wellington in cloudy weather, it can actually make for a truly unique and breathtaking experience. As you ascend the mountain, you'll notice that the clouds seem to envelop the road, creating an otherworldly atmosphere that is both eerie and beautiful. As you reach the summit, you'll emerge from the clouds and be treated to stunning panoramic views of Hobart and its surroundings. The clouds can actually enhance the view, creating a dramatic and moody backdrop for the landscape. That being said, it's important to take caution when driving in cloudy or foggy conditions. The roads can be slick and visibility may be reduced, so it's important to drive slowly and be aware of your surroundings. It's also a good idea to check the weather forecast before heading up to Mount Wellington, as conditions can change quickly in the mountains.Overall, if you're looking for a unique and unforgettable driving experience, consider heading up Mount Wellington on a cloudy day. Just be sure to take the necessary precautions and drive safely!

You need to see it to believe it. The view is one of a kind and unreal. Be aware the drive up is a little adventurous in its curves and width of road for two cars. Plenty of stopping points along the way to the top but definitely worth it

This was worth doing. The change in temperature between sea level and summit was interesting. Plenty of historical facts shared by the tour guide, mixed in with good humour! Like all high points the views were fantastic. Fog rolled in a bit but quickly cleared up. Highly recommended and worth visiting for the views, experience and education.

We hiked from the Forest Park parking spot up past Silver Falls and then via the Zig Zag track up to the summit. The path was 'paved' with stones the whole way and made for pretty easy climbing. It felt a bit like 5k of stairs. It's considered to be a difficult hike but we reached the top in about 1.5 hours. The entire hike is beautiful, with sweeping views and interesting rock formations. We weren't prepared with how cold it was at the top and couldn't stay up there long. We took the Ice House track back down, which is much more technical and poorly defined in places. We really could have used warmer clothes for this trail as it's very exposed.

This was a spontaneous decision to go to the top of Mt Wellington and catch the light from the sunset after visiting the Huon Valley before heading out to dinner, and we were so unprepared. At the top, it was icy and super windy. My fingers were stiff and hot and literally froze. I have never experienced temperatures so cold. When the wind went through you, it felt like -3° and chilled you to the bone. However, the view and lighting were perfect. I tried my best to use my good camera, but the wind was crazy so settled with very quick phone pics. Tip: Keep a super warm jacket, beanie, scarf, and gloves in the car so you're not caught out.
