Everyone is exceptional especially Dr Jenny who is kind, compassionate and very caring. All the team are amazing and very supportive - I cannot recommend this practice highly enough for your furry friend.

The staff at VetWest have been an amazing support for my black over the years & that was solidified by the way they showed such care & compassion when my Budda died. Their monthly care packages really take the worry about just turning up for a quick chat & check on little niggling things & they are open & fair in discussions about what the options are financially when needed too.

After having a terrible experience at another vet I decided to try vet west and had a great experience the girl gave a very thorough check and was able to tell me what was wrong with my dog gave so many options and was so helpful. Will definitely be going back to this vet

Absolutely the best veterinary experience I have ever had. The blonde nurse on Tuesday (I think karis?) was a real gem, she quickly squeezed me in for a nurse appointment even though I came in very last minute. Truly couldn't ask for a more caring and thoughtful person to provide this experience. Will definitely return, thank you so much :)

Communication is extremely poor and a rip off. After paying $162 for a consultation and an injection for our dog. We were told it would be a further cost of $330 for a procedure as our dog needed sedation. We had no issue with that.We dropped the dog in today for his procedure. We got a call to collect him. When we got there they added an extra $180 onto the quote I was told this was for his bandage. Surely a bandage would be included in the quote. Obviously not. When I questioned it further i seriously asked why a bandage costs $180 for a Maltese shitzu he had a procedure done on his toenail and why was i not informed if the added expense. The girl on reception explained sometimes this happens. I asked again why did I not receive a phone in relation to the extra cost. She said it happens she proceeded to look at the invoice and like that she reduced the amount to $386, She was able to take $100 off the invoice. Everyone please double check your quotes and invoices as they clearly like to add additional cost.

Dr Rachael was exceptional. She greeted us warmly, carefully and thoroughly examined our dog, explained the condition and treatment options and gave us time to discuss the process. The vet nurses are also exceptional and they walked is through the interaction with kindness and patience, showing us the correct way to clean our pet's ears, offering a towel to keep the seat of our car clean and ensuring that we were informed at all times. There are no words to describe how wonderful the staff at Vetwest Whitfords are.

After attending vet west Whitfords for over 20 years with various pets I was astounded by the way it has become a money making pit that has absolutely no care for your pets.my son has just added a puppy to our family and it needed vaccinations. I called and spoke to a lovely lady who identified me obviously with phone number recognition and was more than helpful and very chatty …. That is where it ended !!I arrived at my scheduled appointment , there was only one receptions who was occupied talking to a customer !! So I took a seat as I needed to hold my puppy ! Another lady then entered and I realised I needed notify the receptionist that I was there ( although we were the only puppy ) .I was then told I was late and therefore missed my appointment and needed to reschedule by an exceptionally rude receptionist . I asked if I could booked for the same day as I had taken a day off work to ensure the puppy was vaccinated on time - she responded .. no we needs to close early today ( hence the appointments being rushed ) I actually couldn’t believe it and left not impressed . .When I got home I was fuming and called them to arrange a reschedule .. to which I was confronted again with the rudest girl .I explained to her that she was occupied therefore I was unable to ‘check in ‘ in time .she said ‘ well my job is to help customers ‘ … If checking in on time was essential then they needed 2 people on the desk . She said ‘ well it’s done now so can’t change it !! Your appointment was cancelled !!I booked due today !!Upon arrival I was whisked through immediately with my puppy .The vet introduced herself and said how is your puppy and do you have any health concerns ?I said we have only had our puppy for a week however over the last few days he had what looked like conjunctivitis!!!Immediately I was told well you only booked a 15min vaccination appointment so if u want his eyes looked at you need to book fir another appointment !!!! One that was a 39 mins appointment !! I was out the door in 5 mins and over the past 20 years have never ever had a consult that lasted longer than 10 mins with multiple concerns at once !!Very sDisappointed and will never never return again ! Obviously it’s all about money and not about the animals !!!

We normally go to Vetwest Wanneroo. As they were closed on 2nd Jan we went to their whitfords branch instead. They gave us antibiotic to reduce the inflammation and size of the big lump on our cat’s back. We had to give the antibiotic with syringe and shoot it in her mouth. It was difficult for us to do that and she spit it out and was stressed. We went to Wanneroo branch the day after and explained the problem and they did that for us and did not charge and as we had to repeat this for another 6 days, they asked us to try again and let them know if we still couldn’t do it so that they prescribe an injection instead. We tried and we managed to do it ourselves. The day after, they called from the whitfords branch to follow up if we managed to do it and if our cat was alright. I was very happy that they actually cared that much that their staff from another branch called to follow up a problem we told to the doctor in wanneroo branch. Just wanted to say that we have received a great service from Vetwest before as well and as we have tried a few different vet centres before, we always come back to Vetwest. Well done guys.

My mother had an awful experience at VetWest Whitfords with our elderly cat.Unfortunately my mum was running late for 4-5 minutes due to traffic and trying to find the vets as we've never been there before. Upon arrival she had to wait another 3 to 4 minutes before you could check in at reception due to staff dealing with other patients which is absolutely fine( but this should be taken into account and people should be told to get there earlier if they will be turned away due to time limit)Once mum spoke to the receptionist it was about 9 to 10 minutes past the appointment time and the receptionist was unfriendly and stated mum was too late and needed to speak to the vet, she disappeared for about another 5 to 6 minutes and came back and they said they wouldn't see my mum and cat because she was too late. She proceeded to state my mum should've called to let them know she was running 4 minutes late- unfortunately my mum doesn't have hands free and didn't know the number. Which was quite embarrassing for my mum with other people hearing this in the reception. The vet stated due to the case being a potential behavioural problem with our cat that the appointment would be a long one. This would have been known when the appointment was booked and should have been allocated the correct time limit? It's a shame to be turned away for being 4-5 minutes late. We will not be returning to any vet west clinics and will tell our friends and family about this experience.Staff are so rude and I would never ever ever return. Why not allocate the time if your a busy practice and allow for the reception to check clients in? Poorly run clinic. I have told many friends and family with pets never to go.
